We are hiring a Systems Engineer (Production) to join our cloud infrastructure team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who values cross-functional collaboration and has a strong cloud infrastructure and tooling development background.
Candidate must possess strong development skills and be proficient in writing, debugging, and optimizing code across multiple programming languages.
A day in the life might look like:

Crafting Ruby code to reduce manual toil and increase the velocity of Clio's Engineering organization.

Collaborating with Engineering teams to solve cross-disciplinary architectural scaling challenges.
-
Partnering with Engineering feature teams to define requirements and implement the infrastructure to power new product launches.

Managing the reliability, performance, and security for Clio's global Cloud infrastructure.

Mentoring your peers and sharing your knowledge across the department to level up our understanding and improve our processes.

Experience building and supporting highly available, multi-region production infrastructure.

Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and collaborative code to create tools, services, and systems that support scalable infrastructure.

Experience deploying, securing, and scaling Kubernetes clusters servicing production workloads, strongly emphasizing automation and observability.

Experience administering and optimizing cloud resources on standard cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Serious bonus points if you have:

Experience developing with Ruby or GoLang.
-
Experience managing AWS resources with Pulumi or Terraform.

Experience maintaining EKS clusters in production.

Experience scripting with BASH.
-
Experience administering Debian GNU/Linux hosts.

Experience building observability dashboards and monitors with tools like DataDog.

Experience managing any of MySQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or Redis.

The full salary range* for this role is $116,500 to $137,000 to $157,500 CAD.Please note salary bands may differ based on location and local currency. Additionally, benefit offerings may differ depending on the employee's location.
*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
