Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Software Developer - Analytics be part of making this/that happen.
The Developer will contribute to our FinOps team by supporting initiatives focused on FinOps-related analytics. This includes working with orchestration tools, databases, data pipelines, and platforms. You will primarily program in Python and SQL. Your contributions will be a critical part of FinOps efforts at Arctic Wolf, enabling us to deliver world-class cybersecurity software to our clients in a cost-effective manner.
In this role, you get to:

Develop and maintain a scalable FinOps analytics platform on AWS to support Data Scientists, Developers, Analysts, Economists, and Managers in understanding cloud cost-related metrics.

Build and optimize data pipelines from various sources using Python and SQL.

Work with a variety of existing and emerging software engineering tools and technologies as needed.

Improve deployment processes, monitor data inputs/outputs, and ensure accuracy across complex data pipelines.

Gain familiarity with core FinOps practices, including Cost Visibility, Budgeting and Forecasting, Resource Optimization, Chargeback and Showback, Governance and Control, and Continuous Improvement.

Collaborate with team members to identify and implement best practices for improving the FinOps analytics platform.
You will be successful in this role if you have:

Proficiency in Python and SQL
-
Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases, and Python data libraries like pandas, NumPy, and Jupyter
-
Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Fivetran, Spark, Stitch)
-
Experience working with data warehouses and query engines (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Athena)

Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

Understanding of optimization methods in data engineering
Nice to have:

Experience with version control and CI/CD tooling (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)

Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog)

Experience working with streaming or real-time data tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis)
