We’re a healthcare platform for humans, designed for real life. Pocketpills is Canada’s leading online pharmacy & medical care platform. Re-imagining healthcare to make it accessible, affordable and built for people like you. Driven by our passion for innovation and customer-care, we’ve designed a suite of digital care experiences that empower our members to take control of their health wherever life takes them. From coast to coast, over 800,000 Canadians trust Pocketpills to deliver their medication & ensure a healthcare professional is always just an arms-reach away.

We founded Pocketpills as a solution to fix the broken system that made getting Care harder than it needed to be. We don’t believe long line ups at the doctor’s office, confusing refill protocols & one-size-fits-all advice, actually fit with what Canadians need, so we’ve changed the game. Powered by pharmacists, engineers, doctors, clinicians & service experts, our platform redefines the world of wellness, from personalized treatment that actually feels personal, to truly effortless refills, including free, friendly delivery. Because we do believe Canadians deserve a better way to manage their most important asset, their health.

Discover the healthcare platform that feels Delightfully Human. With Pocketpills, complete care is right in your pocket.

About the Role

This is more than a social media job—it’s a chance to define how Canadians connect with one of the country’s most innovative healthcare brands. We’re looking for a digitally native creator and strategist who can turn culture, trends, and storytelling into real community impact and measurable growth.

You’ll lead PocketPills’ entire social ecosystem, build our first Creator & Affiliate Program, and create content that’s fast, smart, and unmistakably on-brand. Working across teams, you’ll translate healthcare into clear, relatable, engaging content that Canadians genuinely want to interact with.

If you thrive in a creative, fast-moving environment and want to help shape a brand that truly matters, this role puts you at the centre of that mission.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social & Community Strategy (Brand & Engagement)

  • Platform Ownership & Strategy: Define, own, and execute the complete content and brand strategy for all social channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring PocketPills’ tone and visual identity are authentic and optimized for each platform's unique culture and algorithms.
  • Community Building: Actively build and manage the PocketPills social community, engaging directly with followers, managing comments and DMs, and fostering a loyal base of brand advocates.
  • Trend and Culture Hacking: Stay ahead of emerging social media trends, platform updates, and cultural moments to ensure PocketPills is consistently relevant, agile, and reactive in its content.
  • Always-On Content Engine: Oversee the content creation and production process, including content calendars, creative brief development, scheduling, and publishing across all platforms.

2. Creator & Affiliate Program (Performance & Reach)

  • Program Launch: Design, launch, and manage PocketPills’ first dedicated Creator/Affiliate Program focused on DTC growth.
  • Recruitment & Vetting: Identify, onboard, and manage a diverse roster of creators, micro-influencers, and affiliates whose audiences align with PocketPills’ target demographic.
  • Performance Accountability: Negotiate contracts and manage content deliverables, ensuring all creator partnerships drive measurable outcomes, including traffic, conversions, and brand mentions.

3. Content Creation & Digital Assets

  • Creative Execution: Function as a hands-on contributor to content creation, utilizing skills in short-form video, photography, and graphic design to develop compelling, mobile-first assets.
  • Testing & Optimization: Implement a rigorous A/B testing framework for content formats, copy, posting times, and calls-to-action (CTAs) to continuously improve performance.
  • Cross-Functional Content: Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the marketing team to translate complex healthcare information into clear, relatable, and engaging plain language content for a mass DTC audience.

4. Analytics & Performance Marketing

  • Social Listening & Insights: Implement sophisticated social listening tools to monitor brand health, competitive activity, and consumer sentiment.
  • Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key social media and creator program KPIs, focusing on metrics that drive social growth such as engagement rate, and audience growth.

Qualifications & Experience

Skills & Mindset

  • Truly Digitally Native: Deep, intuitive understanding of all major social platforms (especially TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube/Shorts). Proven ability to create high-performing content for these platforms, not just on them.
  • Creative & Editorial Eye: Exceptional creative writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with a proven track record of developing engaging, plain-language content.

Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in social media, digital marketing, or brand management, preferably within a DTC, e-commerce, or consumer tech brand.
  • Proven experience in scouting, onboarding, and managing a Creator, Influencer, or Affiliate Program from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated experience with video/photo editing tools and creative design principles (e.g., using Canva, Adobe Suite, or mobile-first editing apps).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in social analytics tools and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).

Benefits

Join our team and enjoy a benefits package designed to support your health and well-being, including dental and vision care, as well as extended health care coverage. We provide disability insurance for added security and life insurance to protect your loved ones. To promote work-life balance, you’ll receive paid time off, including vacation days. Additionally, we offer a Group Retirement Savings Plan (GRSP). Experience a workplace that truly cares about you!

The annual compensation is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and alignment to the market .
