JOB SUMMARY:

The Social Media Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing social media channel strategies to enhance the perception of 7-Eleven and its owned brands among customers and Canadian consumers.

Reporting into the Sr. Digital Marketing Manager, as a member of the Marketing, Communications and Digital team at 7-Eleven Canada, you will bring expertise in social media strategy, a passion for elevating the brand and online customer experience, and a creative mindset to think outside of the box.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop and implement social media channel strategies that support 7-Eleven’s strategic business objectives to drive traffic and increase conversions instore and across online channels, including organic social, paid social, content creator and influencer strategy.

  • Manage the execution and analysis of all social media campaigns leveraging data-driven insights to enhance engagement and impact. Maintain monthly social media content calendars.

  • Provide guidance on boosting and ad management, ensuring proper execution and alignment with customer campaigns.

  • Ensure content creator and influencer content aligns with brand values and campaign goals.

  • Collaborate with in-house creative and agency partners to develop low-fi and agile content for all social media platforms (including but not limited to Meta, TikTok, X, Snapchat, LinkedIn).

  • Responsible for measuring success of social media channels and accountable for achieving KPI performance metrics and regularly reporting to leadership.

  • Manage social media marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI across channels.

  • Responsible for social media community management strategy, including developing and maintaining protocols, monitoring, and responding with a timely response rate.

  • Collaborative mindset, fostering a supportive environment focused on growth, innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Partners cross-functionally with Marketing & Communications and US teams to grow our social media platforms.

  • Stay informed on evolving social media trends, processes and technologies to recommend innovative ideas and achieve efficiencies.

  • Manage and coach direct report in executing social media strategy and content management across multiple social media channels.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field.

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in social media marketing, preferably in retail, convenience or QSR industry. 

  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful social media campaigns that have driven online sales, customer acquisition and member loyalty.

  • Expertise in influencer management and community management is an asset.

  • Proficiency with monitoring and reporting on digital performance metrics.

  • Experience managing budgets and resources effectively.

  • Results-driven, and highly organized, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to mobilize, often within tight timelines.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead presentations.

  • Cooperative and collaborative with the ability to forge strong internal and external relationships.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 Annual

The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in this state. This range may be modified in the future. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, long-term incentive compensation, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
