The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Virtual Endpoint Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based virtual endpoint solutions to ensure seamless and secure access to company resources. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure virtualization technologies, endpoint management, and security best practices.
This position will require occasional after-hours and weekend work. The selected candidate will be expected to attend work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with EHP leave policy and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage virtual endpoint solutions using Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and related Azure services.
  • Develop and maintain endpoint management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Azure virtual endpoints to ensure a high-quality user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure virtual endpoint solutions with other IT systems and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Azure virtual endpoints.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary measures to protect Azure virtual endpoints from threats.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and IT staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Azure virtualization and endpoint management technologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop architecture and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and their application in virtual environments.
  • Ability to design and implement secure virtual endpoint solutions.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Experience with automation and scripting to streamline endpoint management tasks.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for virtual environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Required Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in virtual endpoint engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and related Azure services.
  • Experience with endpoint management tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), SCCM, or similar.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • This position pays between $83,200 - $159,450 based on experience
