RunPod is pioneering the future of AI and machine learning, offering cutting-edge cloud infrastructure for full-stack AI applications. Founded in 2022, we are a rapidly growing, well-funded company with a remote-first organization spread globally. Our mission is to empower innovators and enterprises to unlock AI's true potential, driving technology and transforming industries. Join us as we shape the future of AI.

We’re building RunPod’s first Product team now and are looking for extraordinary leaders with deep commitment to developer experience (DX) to build the industry’s most powerful and seamless AI cloud. We’re seeking a Senior User Experience Researcher to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product by uncovering deep customer insights and translating them into meaningful improvements. This is not an academic role—success will be measured by your ability to generate actionable insights that influence the product roadmap, enhance user satisfaction, and help drive product-market fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with hundreds of prospects, customers, and partners to deeply understand their needs to inform our strategy and roadmap. You’ll be expected to talk to at least 5 customers per week, often many more.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., user interviews, usability testing, surveys, data analysis) to uncover key pain points, opportunities, and behaviors across our customer base.
  • Translate research insights into actionable recommendations for the product and engineering teams, ensuring those insights are directly tied to features and improvements that drive user value.
  • Maintain a detailed record of all research insights and track their impact on product features, user experience, and overall product-market fit.
  • Partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and leadership to prioritize user needs, guide decision-making, and align research activities with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing mechanisms for collecting feedback from users at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and the value of UX research across the organization.
  • Define and track success metrics for UX-related changes, ensuring that research-driven features measurably improve user satisfaction and engagement.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in user experience research or related roles, with a proven track record of driving product improvements through actionable insights.
  • Strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, survey design, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to tie research findings to product outcomes and measure the impact of those outcomes on user experience and business goals.
  • Familiarity with developer-focused products and comfort engaging with technical audiences is strongly preferred.  AI experience is ideal but not required.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Comfortable using modern UX research tools (e.g., Grain.com, Figma, analytics platforms).
  • Exceptional storytelling skills to convey research findings in a compelling and actionable manner to diverse audiences.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environment with a focus on delivering meaningful results quickly.

What You’ll Receive:

  • The competitive base pay for this position ranges from $125,000 - $170,000. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills and experience
  • Stock options
  • The flexibility of remote work with an inclusive, collaborative team.
  • An opportunity to grow with a company that values innovation and user-centric design.
  • Generous vacation policy to ensure work-life harmony and well-being.
  • Contribute to a company with a global impact based in the US, Canada, and Europe.
