About the Role:

Remitly is a uniquely global company, serving millions of customers who speak many different languages, regardless of the country they live in. The Localization and Internationalization team works to ensure that Remitly's products are tailored for all customers both culturally and linguistically across the entire customer journey. We're looking for a seasoned expert to drive our efforts to expand and scale localization across marketing and product, and raise the quality of customer experience in all current and future languages. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, Localization, you'll partner closely with marketing, engineering, design, legal, and CS teams to implement scalable globalization solutions and workflows. This is a highly cross-functional, impactful role with the opportunity to shape the strategy for a fast-growing program.

You Will:

  • Manage marketing localization workflows and translation quality, ensuring all content is culturally-resonant and linguistically-appropriate
  • Support marketing teams to implement process and vendor solutions for global multimedia content (transcreation, video, audio, voiceover, OST, etc.)
  • Build and own multilingual SEO strategy
  • Work closely with engineering and design for product localization
  • Drive tools strategy, workflow infrastructure, and automation to support continuous localization pipelines within internal systems
  • Use data driven approaches to inform prioritization and drive impact
  • Dive deep into areas of friction for customers and work relentlessly to solve them
  • Manage budget and relationships with vendors and tool suppliers
  • Lead strategic planning to align with business goals: roadmap, language strategy
  • Develop program resources to increase company-wide awareness

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience in localization program management, including tech stack management
  • 3+ years of experience working directly in marketing and product localization on the client-side
  • Proven track record of launching new products and features internationally
  • Working knowledge of internationalization requirements and frameworks, including prior success driving solutions for localizability issues
  • High proficiency with translation management systems, integrations, testing, and overall localization and content tech stack
  • Exceptional stakeholder relationship skills while managing a portfolio of end-to-end concurrent programs
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, while making difficult tradeoffs between short-term outcomes and long-term impact

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $128,000-$160,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
