We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, you will be responsible for reviewing indirect tax returns, preparing the annual income tax package, and researching tax compliance across multiple provinces. Working closely with the business, you will also develop tax management tools, collaborating on tax matters, and addressing multi-provincial tax compliance issues.
You will be responsible for:

  • Researching day-to-day income and indirect tax compliance issues in multi-provincial jurisdictions.
  • Reviewing indirect tax returns and associated account reconciliations.
  • Reviewing and documenting internal indirect tax positions and assessments.
  • Providing support to the business with income and indirect sales tax matters.
  • Responding to ad-hoc tax related queries from internal and external customers.
  • Supporting with tax authority audits.
  • Providing support with tax risk management projects and initiatives, including the review and implementation of changes to the business systems, processes, and significant transactions to improve tax compliance and minimize risk.
  • Working with the business to develop and maintain an efficient and effective system of tax management tools and processes.
  • Assisting with the completion of the year-end tax package and providing support to external auditors and corporate office.
  • Assisting other Pattison Food Group businesses with the reviewing of their year-end corporate tax provisions.
     

You have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an analyst role with corporate income and indirect tax experience.
  • A professional accounting designation or equivalent industry experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft desktop applications, including advanced Excel skills and ability to navigate general ledger systems.
  • Completed the CPA In-Depth Tax and/or GST/HST In-Depth Program is an asset. 
  • Experience with cross-border transactions and US tax knowledge is an asset.

Compensation Details:

$87,075.00 - $116,100.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
