Purpose of the Job
The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for full-cycle recruitment for mid / senior level positions. In this challenging role, you will work closely with the HR senior leadership team, the Management Committee and their hiring managers to develop, organize and maintain recruiting processes and initiatives. The Senior Talent Acquisitions Partner will be curious, tech-savvy and sensitive to the motivators of candidates.
You will develop a diverse pool of passive talent to build candidate pipelines and improve the hiring speed and quality. You must be a builder who thrives in a learning environment—unafraid to try new things, embrace new ideas, and provide / welcome suggestions for how we can constantly be better. You can expect high impact and wide-ranging responsibility: owning your requisitions from start to finish, leading first-in-kind searches, and delivering best-in-class candidate experience. You will be a subject matter expert in candidate sourcing and have an in-depth understanding of technology related roles and the current market.
Recruitment and Sourcing
- Partner with senior leaders across the organization to understand their hiring objectives and develop recruiting tactics to hit headcount goals
- Provide strategic and thought partnership to executive leadership including a deep understanding of EQ Bank's / Equitable Bank’s business and ecosystem and how external talent can inform our growth
- Identify and implement strategic sourcing plans by creatively conducting research and utilizing a multitude of resources
- Foster trust-based relationships with candidates, gaining a close understanding of their requirements and concerns. Serve as a skilled problem solver, facilitator and coach in final negotiations
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality and holistic candidate experience
- Resume screen, phone screen, conduct interviews, administer aptitude tests, conduct background checks, and manage the details related to employment offers, and closing of your roles
- Leverage search and problem-solving expertise on a variety of Equitable Bank’s recruiting initiatives
- Identify and implement sourcing strategies based upon the job position by creatively conducting research and/or utilizing a multitude of resources
- Consults with hiring teams which includes initial strategy discussion, updates on candidate activity, sharing relevant talent/employer market data, and competitive intelligence
- Generate a group of strongly qualified candidates in advance of need; creating a talent pipeline for the Bank of passive candidates. Ensures actions to source, attract, and recruit diverse talent are consistently embedded in sourcing strategies.
- Consults with the business to educate/train on best practices on networking and sharing of career opportunities
- Effectively utilize Talent Relationship Management (Lever), manage all aspects of the hiring process and keep system up to date to allow for consistent metrics to be produced monthly
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of combined agency and corporate recruiting experience in Technology recruitment, ideally in FinTech or Banking with a proven track record in identifying, engaging, and closing passive candidates.
- A passion for building teams and delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Advanced experience using recruiting systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Advanced knowledge of Boolean Search, demonstrated experience utilizing strategic sourcing tools and technologies, including various social media
- Abreast with the Canada Labour Code and all Canadian employment regulations in relation to recruitment
- Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills
- An active and data driven approach to problem solving; you enjoy making sense of the trends and using the insights to better your process to make it more efficient
- Ability to define and execute search strategy with creative multi-channel sourcing in delivering top talent to the hiring managers
- Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
