ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this role is crucial in driving strategic initiatives and corporate development activities to create value across the organization. The ideal candidate will blend strategic thinking, analytical skills, and deal execution capabilities to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the company's future through both organic and inorganic growth strategies. The successful candidate will be a key player in driving value creation through strategic planning, operational improvements, and corporate development activities, with a particular focus on leveraging opportunities in the SaaS space. This is a remote-first role and is open to applicants located within provinces/states in Western North America where we comply with our legal hiring entities. In this role, you will report to the Chief Strategy Officer.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Strategy (60%)
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and internal data to identify strategic opportunities
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of strategic initiatives aligned with company growth objectives
- Create comprehensive business cases for potential initiatives, including financial modeling and risk assessment
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop and implement strategies that drive operational improvements and boost efficiency to drive operational improvements and efficiency gains
- Present strategic findings and recommendations to executive leadership
Corporate Development (40%)
- Identify, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities, partnerships, and other strategic transactions
- Lead due diligence processes, working closely with cross-functional teams and external advisors
- Develop financial models and valuation analyses for potential transactions
- Negotiate deal terms and support the drafting of transaction documents
- Oversee post-merger integration planning and execution Oversee the post-merger integration process to ensure smooth transitions, alignment with organizational goals, and realization of expected synergies.
Key Performance Indicators

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:.
- 8-10 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting, with a proven track record of executing high-impact deals or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Experience in managing the full M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, financial modeling, deal execution and post-merger integration processes and deal execution
- Excellent project management and cross-functional team leadership abilities
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive results through strategic initiatives and transactions
- Experience in SaaS industry desired but not required; candidates with strong strategic and analytical skills from other industries are encouraged to apply
