Position Overview

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager will be instrumental in leading the strategic sourcing initiatives at UniUni Logistics. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage relationships with suppliers, optimize procurement strategies, and ensure that sourcing decisions align with company goals. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management, with a focus on enhancing supply chain efficiencies and driving down costs.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the sourcing and procurement of logistics services, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  2. Oversee procurement activities for various indirect categories such as IT, Real Estate, professional services, and facilities.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier performance meets company standards.
  4. Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  5. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs, improve service levels, and mitigate risks.
  6. Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.
  7. Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and identify cost savings and innovation opportunities.
  8. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement
  • Deep understanding of global logistics and supply chain management
  • Experience managing multiple categories
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • In-depth understanding of logistics and indirect procurement best practices and market trends.
  • Ability to travel when required.
