Responsibilities
- Participate in design, development for Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer products
- Work closely with the teams in BE HQ, San Jose for design goals and provide necessary inputs
- Conduct accurate flow & thermal analysis of cell/column/enclosures
- Translate complex problems to models
- Utilize model prediction to evaluate/explore options, and provide inputs for design
- Manage and execute flow analysis, with handbook calculations as well as CFD tools
- Drive test plans for validations of models/product performance
- Publish reports and present modeling results on a regular basis
- Develop new codes/models to enhance modeling capabilities
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with background in applied CFD
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics and Heat & Mass Transfer
- 5 years of experience in using CFD software packages, at least 3 years in industry/ product development
- Proficient in ANSYS Spaceclaim, Mesher, Fluent (must, at least 3 years)- from preprocessing to postprocessing
- Experience with complex flow & thermal problems, involving multispecies & all modes of heat transfer
- Prior experience in thermal testing is a plus
- Ability to translate real world problem to CFD with efficient modeling approach
- Experience in writing User defined functions to be coupled with CFD packages
- Manage multiple projects and deliver in a timely manner, with minimal supervision
- Analyze thermal test data, for model/performance validation
- Prior exposure to Fuel Cell/Energy application is a plus
- Ability to learn new application areas
- Highly motivated and a team player
- Excellent communication skills
