We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Ingestion Team, which builds and operates the critical infrastructure that serves as the “front door” of StackAdapt’s event flow.
The team works on large-scale distributed systems focused on scalability, performance, reliability, and data correctness, processing 10+ billion events per day. Our systems power core functions across bidding, reporting, billing, analytics, and machine learning.
We design and run low-latency, highly reliable ingestion systems for impressions, clicks, conversions, and third-party signals, ensuring data is accurate and available for downstream teams in real time. Our core stack includes Golang, Kafka, TiDB, Aerospike, Vitess, Kubernetes, and more.

What You'll Be Doing:- Design, build, and operate highly scalable, distributed ingestion services for real-time and near–real-time scenarios
- Build and maintain event ingestion pipelines using streaming technologies like Kafka
- Work with high-volume storage systems and databases to persist and serve data efficiently
- Partner with Data, ML, Product, and Platform teams to support evolving requirements
- Lead projects end-to-end, from design through production and monitoring
- Improve code quality, testing practices, system reliability, and observability
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship
- 5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer
- Strong experience building distributed systems and high-throughput backend services
- Experience with Golang (or similar languages with a willingness to learn and work in Go)
- Hands-on experience with streaming systems (Kafka or similar)
- Solid understanding of distributed systems tradeoffs (consistency, availability, partition tolerance, scalability)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with comfort working in ambiguous, complex domains
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
- Experience working on data ingestion, ETL, or streaming data platforms
- Familiarity with AdTech, event-driven architectures, or analytics systems
