Role overview
As a Senior Software Developer and DevOps specialist, we expect you to be disciplined regarding software development and DevOps tasks, and ready and eager to collaborate with and mentor technical and non-technical teammates as you plan, develop, and deliver enterprise software solutions, architectures, and infrastructures for our clients. We expect you to take ownership of your tasks, excel at time management, and be a fast learner, while also focusing on ongoing personal improvement.

Your key responsibilities
- Identify solutions to cross-functional problems using your development and operations skill set
- Design, plan, and implement infrastructures based on non-functional requirements
- Develop software according to specifications (SRS, Interface Designs)
- Coach colleagues to encourage their professional growth
- Confidently take initiative on projects and tasksUphold and reinforce software development guidelines
- Research, test, and implement new techniques and technologies
- Advise and consult with clients about technical decisions and direction
The ideal candidate
- Has 5+ years experience as a software developer or engineer with at least 2 recent years working in DevOps
- Has a Bachelor’s degree, college degree, certification in a software-related field, or equivalent degree or experience
- Has intermediate or conversational French at a minimum.
You should be proficient with
- At least one major Cloud-hosting platform such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
- At least one major server-side programming language such as Python, Nodejs, Java, etc.
- Virtualization and Containerization, ideally for the Linux ecosystem
- Microservices and Serverless Systems
- Development Methodologies (Agile, Scrum, XP, Kanban, Shape Up, etc.)
- CI/CD Pipelines
- Cloud provider cost calculation and optimization
- Provisioning, management, and orchestration tooling and services such as Terraform, CDK, Ansible, Kubernetes, Cloudformation, Bicep, etc.
- Monitoring and observability tooling and services
It’s a plus if you have experience with
- At least one major modern client-side framework/library such as AngularJS, ReactJS, Svelte, etc.
- Full-stack web development
- Application Testing (unit, functional, E2E, etc.)
- In-Memory object storage, caching, and queue systems
- Hexagonal Architecture
- Domain-Driven Design
- High-availability systems
