Role and Responsibilities
- Help lead initiatives for upgrading and scaling our systems to improve availability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, growing their knowledge, skill set and capability
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes
- Use the latest industry standard tools and best practices to meet the evolving needs of our internal engineers, developers and external customers
- Manage cloud provider infrastructure, system deployments & product release operations
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance the efficiency of our infrastructure.
- Evaluate and estimate the capacity and growth plan projections for the future
- Be the Infrastructure and Operation subject matter expert for the development team
- Create and maintain documentation, run books and other technical material as needed
- Participate in an on-call rotation, using a follow-the-sun model
Skills and Qualifications
- A strong combination of technical experience, hands-on capability and technical leadership experience
- 7+ years of design & implementation experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure & AWS)
- Experience with architecture and operation of container technologies such as Kubernetes, service-mesh
- Expertise with Linux system administration, networking and security, ideally in a Cloud environment
- Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm
- Expertise with modern CI/CD systems such as ArgoCD, GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience with microservices architectures and debugging/investigation techniques
- Scripting knowledge – proficiency with Python, Bash, PowerShell, JS or similar languages
- Adept in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience collaborating with Data Engineers and Scientists building ML & ETL pipelines
The salary range for this role is expected to be between $97,000 to $144,500 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.
