Motorola Solutions’ Video Division is defining the future of the security industry through innovative end-to-end solutions. We’re changing the landscape of the surveillance industry through advanced, award-winning AI-based surveillance systems. Artificial Intelligence is transforming the world, and our team is advancing the field as it applies to the surveillance industry. We are proud to be industry leaders in video analytics with products like Appearance Search, Unusual Motion Detection, and our recently launched Avigilon Cloud Service platform. Job Description

Our world-class Video Management Software allows Enterprise customers to ensure the highest level of security at their sites. From Windows applications with integrated video analytics to highly scalable cloud microservices - our engineering teams solve complex problems across a diverse and exciting range of products.

We are looking for a dedicated Scrum Master to collaborate with two talented Scrum teams. In this role, you will advocate for agile values and principles across our organization while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and empowering your teams to strive for high performance.

This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility of remote work and in-person collaboration at our downtown Vancouver office.

Responsibilities:

  • Empower Scrum teams to effectively self-manage
  • Observe and analyze the team to provide honest, constructive feedback
  • Ensure effective facilitation of Scrum Events
  • Help the team to deliver value by shielding them from external interruptions and proactively addressing impediments
  • Cultivate a healthy team environment where everyone feels safe to experiment, learn, and grow
  • Navigate conflict with poise and fairness, ensuring appropriate resolution
  • Embrace data-driven continuous improvement and experimentation
  • Design and visualize insightful metrics to make the team’s progress and blockers visible to everyone
  • Engage with other Scrum Masters to cross-pollinate best practices
  • Seek out new ideas from agile thought leaders and teach them back to the team and organization
  • Champion the agile mindset and Scrum practices across the organization
  • Leverage a systems-thinking mindset to identify opportunities for improvement and drive effective change

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, IT) or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • 2+ years of experience working on an agile team
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, values, and the Scrum framework
  • Strong communication, facilitation, leadership, and coaching skills
  • Passion for continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical background (e.g. software developer, QA, etc.)
  • Additional certifications (e.g., A-CSM, PSM II)
  • Experience in a large-scale or multi-team environment
  • Experience working with remote and distributed teams

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - 120,000 CAD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
