The Opportunity at Komodo Health:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Accounting team as a Senior Revenue/AR Accountant In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in scaling the revenue team’s capabilities to support the company’s rapid growth. You’ll take ownership of key responsibilities related to both established and newly developed AR and revenue accounting processes. Additionally, you’ll help shape a high-performing internal revenue team, driving excellence in ASC 606 compliance and operational practices.
This role will focus 70% on revenue recognition compliant with ASC 606 and 30% on account receivable analysis.
Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have accomplished…
- Improved timeline for processing and reporting of revenue transactions for on-going operations including billing and revenue analysis
- Focused on required reconciliation of billings to contracts and other related systems
- Performed regular reconciliations of customer accounts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring alignment between invoicing and payments.
- Maintained manual revenue waterfall
- Supported the automation process in revenue accounting
You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities…
- Prepare deal checklists in accordance with ASC 606 and company’s internal policies
- Assist management with the assessment and documentation for complex revenue transactions
- Help with preparation of the manual revenue waterfall on the ongoing basis
- Assist in preparation of updates on AR metrics, collection status, and key issues impacting cash flow.
- Work with teams to automate process and establish traceable and auditable evidence for revenue recognition and applicable reporting
- Take part in monthly revenue close procedures on an ad hoc basis, including preparation of revenue and deferred revenue related journal entries, reconciliations and other close tasks as directed
- Work with business partners to initiate and implement process improvements to the quote-to-cash process to increase operational efficiencies
- Perform revenue system UAT (User Acceptance Testing). Validate data and reports for accuracy and completeness
What you bring to Komodo Health (required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or quantitative field
- 3-5 years experience with Revenue Accounting and ASC 606 application in a fast paced environment
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are a MUST
- Good organizational skills with the ability to execute with accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to interact with departments providing revenue evidence to accounting team
- A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization
- Ability to adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of accuracy
- Experience with financial systems, specifically NetSuite and NetSuite ARM preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce
- Experience with Software and/or SaaS space is a plus

Compensation at Komodo Health
The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of pay that we reasonably expect to pay across all U.S. locations and may span more than one career level. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.
The U.S. national starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan.
$94,000—$130,000 USD

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
