We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior React Native Developer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile application development, a deep understanding of React Native, and a passion for creating high-quality, user-friendly mobile applications. As a Senior React Native Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our mobile applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and performant.

This is a remote position but travel to the Head Office at 1303 Yonge Street, Toronto will be required occasionally.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, support, mentor and participate in the development & designing of customized applications for direct use by our customers.

Manage, prioritize and communicate your workload and tasks to team members throughout project execution

Take on and learn multiple technologies and their application within our solutions

Participate in the solution integration testing, quality assurance, debugging and root cause analysis

Contribute and receive feedback during the development life-cycle to improve products and platform

Documentation and delivery best practices in collaboration with Cineplex Architecture team.

Share and provide guidance on development principles with the internal front-end developer community
-
Collaborate with Development Manager(s) to create growth plan for upskilling members of the development team
Education & Certification
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field
Experience
-
5+ years of experience in mobile application development
-
3+ years of experience in React Native
-
Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
-
Strong understanding of React Native architecture and best practices
-
Proficiency with RESTful APIs and integration with backend services (including authentication like OAuth, Firebase Authentication, JWT, etc.)
-
SDK integration experience (analytics, etc.) including platform specific SDKs (biometrics, etc.), and troubleshooting compatibility with external SDKs

Knowledge of mobile app deployment processes for both iOS and Android platforms

Experience with iOS/Android native mobile development (including Xcode, Android Studio, VSCode, library managers and other mobile development tools)

Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks for React Native

Familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) or Material Design

Understanding mobile UI/UX best practices and design principles/tools (Figma or other)

Proficiency with version control systems such as Git

Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Familiarity with mobile analytics, performance monitoring tools and performance optimization (Firebase/Sentry/Crashlytics)

Experience working within Agile development environment

Experience with Issue & Project Tracking Software (e.g. DevOps, Jira, etc.)
