Summary:

We are currently seeking a new Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office team in Vancouver, Calgary, or Toronto.

What your team does:

Clio’s Project Management Office (PMO) leads our most strategic, complex, cross-functional projects and product launches. We work very closely with teams across the entire Clio org and work with roles at all levels. We’re the gears that reliably keep projects running on time and keep the business growing.

The PMO sits within the Business Operations department which is focused on driving results for the company through strategic, operational, and data-driven improvements and growth. As a part of the wider Business Operations team, the PMO acts as a key partner in implementing Clio’s long-term strategy.

Who you are:

First and foremost you are a person who seeks to build partnerships based on trust. You can work with people at all levels from junior to executive and you are able to meet people where they are. You are obsessed with bringing clarity to ambiguous situations and you are a problem solver who looks for common sense and human-centric solutions. You are able to see the big picture across a wide canvas of projects, priorities, and teams to identify dependencies, gaps, risks, and opportunities; and, as such, you are meticulously organized.

What you’ll work on:
  • You will lead project management for Clio’s most complex cross-functional projects. This could include: launching new product lines, global expansion initiatives, mergers & acquisitions, and other strategic growth initiatives as needed

  • You will work closely with functional leaders across the business to develop project plans that align to Clio’s strategic vision and goals

  • You will facilitate needs assessments and task scoping with a variety of workstream leaders, and continually test and validate scoping assumptions

  • You will meet regularly with teams and stakeholders to check on progress and status of project work. You will remove barriers, track blockers, and enable teams to complete tasks on time.

  • You will track a variety of moving project pieces; such as tasks, meeting action items, decisions, budgetary issues, and risks.

  • You will identify and highlight dependencies and facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional workstreams.

  • You will draft and maintain project documents and project tracking tools (such as Asana)

  • You will prepare weekly project status reports and escalate risks and gaps as required

  • In collaboration with senior leaders, you will design best practice processes, procedures, and structures for communication, implementation, and monitoring

  • You will contribute towards the creation of project management and change management playbooks

  • And, you will develop standardized templates to simplify cross-functional processes

What you may have:
  • An undergraduate degree in an area that involves project management, business, research, leadership, or software development.

  • Project management certification, change management certification, and/or additional project management training - PMP certification is essential

  • 3 - 5 years experience working in project management or adjacent disciplines in a fast growing SaaS/tech company

  • Experience conducting needs assessments, scoping project tasks and deliverables, and creating roadmaps and timelines/gantt charts

  • Experience facilitating workshops with groups and coaching individuals

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI

Serious bonus points if you have:
  • People management experience or if you have held any leadership roles
