Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance within assigned area of responsibility, to ensure that quality management and technical services are provided to clients and that operating performance targets are met. The Senior Project Manager will also mentor junior project managers associated with sophisticated and unconventional projects.
The successful Senior Project Manager will join an existing project in the greater Vancouver area that is currently in the construction phase, with AtkinsRéalis fulfilling an Owner’s Engineer role for a key client. The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to the engineering disciplines and sub-consultants involved in the project. The Senior Project Manager will provide a direct interface with the Client Project Manager and senior Operational staff. Pertinent engineering disciplines involved include mechanical, structural, electrical, architectural, civil, and environmental. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all engineering related aspects of the Project, ensure budgets are tracked and managed, and that project QA/QC components are executed.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex projects within broad technical specialties, providing leadership and guidance to other project managers and technical associates.
- Oversee staffing decisions, performance reviews, and career development for assigned staff.
- Ensure project quality, financial performance, and compliance with schedules and budgets.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, pursuing new business opportunities.
- Manage contracts, negotiate budgets, and ensure project profitability.
- Represent AtkinsRéalis to clients, regulatory agencies, sub-consultants, contractors, and others parties involved with projects.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (graduate degree preferred).
- 12 years of experience (or 11 years with an M.S.), with at least 3 years in a senior project management role involving infrastructure programs.
- Strong leadership, technical, financial management, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional registration (e.g., P. Eng., P.E., PMP, or CCM certification required within one year).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and travel as needed.
- Experience is preferred with industrial buildings and transportation infrastructure.
Expected compensation for this role is between $160 00.00 and $200 000.00. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
