About the role

D-Wave is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software releases for our SaaS platform. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and operations to ensure reliable, high-quality feature delivery and production readiness. 


This role owns program execution, release planning, and operational visibility across the software development lifecycle. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment, translating product and technical requirements into structured execution while maintaining alignment with engineering, product, and business stakeholders. Remote employees are expected to support a Pacific Time core hours schedule.


What you'll do

  • Plan, lead, and execute software development and release programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring SaaS product production readiness
  • Define scope, requirements, schedules, dependencies, and milestones; drive execution and adjust plans as priorities evolve
  • Own end-to-end program lifecycle activities, including feature delivery, release management, and post-release support, ensuring high quality and minimal disruption
  • Monitor program performance, proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies, and changes to ensure successful outcomes
  • Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams across engineering, product, QA, and operations without direct authority
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination across internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Own program documentation and change tracking, ensuring requirements, decisions, and updates are clearly documented and traceable
  • Provide clear visibility through regular status updates, reporting, dashboards, release notes, and executive summaries
  • Support incident response and release-related issues, coordinating triage, root cause analysis, and resolution
  • Establish, maintain, and improve program management frameworks, processes, and documentation standards to drive consistency and execution excellence
  • Conduct post-project and post-release reviews to capture lessons learned and continuously improve processes and delivery

What you'll bring

  • 4+ years of experience managing software programs or projects, including planning, estimation, scheduling, and risk management  
  • Proven ability to build and manage project plans, track execution, and deliver programs on time and within constraints  
  • Experience managing risks, issues, and dependencies in a dynamic software development environment  
  • Strong judgment and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements  
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders without formal authority  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation, reporting, and presentations  
  • Experience quickly learning new domains and contributing effectively across different problem spaces  
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a structured, systems-oriented mindset  
  • Experience with project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar 

Bonus points for

  • Experience managing feature development and delivery for SaaS products 
  • Professional certification or formal training in Project Management, Agile and Scrum, Compliance, Risk Management 
  • Experience working across multiple domains or industries and ramping quickly  
  • Experience establishing or improving program management processes and standards across teams
