As a Senior Product Manager, Payments you will be working on optimizing the payments systems for a market-leading mobile and web based product used daily by tens of thousands of SMB trucking companies. These customers serve as the backbone of the U.S. economy by transporting trillions of dollars of goods that touch every American. Successful candidates will have a history of managing technical products from ideation to launch and then helping to grow them into market leaders. 

Expectations (In this role, you will):

  • Drive new payment innovations for SMB trucking companies and merchants in the trucking ecosystem at Mudflap
  • Own company north star metrics related to payments, with a mindset to test and learn constantly
  • Drive the Go-to-Market strategy, collaborating with cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Support, Finance, Legal, etc) to drive results
  • Partner with Engineering and foster current and potential Fintech / Partner relationships to build a world-class payments stack
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to optimize payment operations
  • Act as the voice of the customer when it comes to delightful payment experiences, gather direct feedback from customers, and work with internal product owners to deliver the best product experience by product area (e.g. mobile vs web apps)
  • Be the subject matter expert on both external and internal payment technologies for existing and emerging money movement capabilities. Stay on top of technological and regulatory trends related to payments, and make recommendations on Mudflap’s short and long-term payment strategy
  • Synthesize complex information and strategic requirements, write clear requirements, and communicate effectively to technical and non-technical business partners
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch, and be accountable for ongoing success criteria and metrics

  • Expertise on payments in the US and Canada markets
  • Experience guiding and influencing decisions with potential payment partners and new products
  • You are the internal stakeholders' go-to for questions and discussions on payments
  • You demonstrate a strategic and practical mindset in developing a payment strategy that drives short-term and long-term goals
  • You foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and can comfortably engage with team members at all levels of the organization to derive actionable insights and get things done
  • You can thrive in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $210,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidate's skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or short-term incentives. Our benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, WFH stipend and PTO.
