Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.
We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role:

As a Senior Product Manager for the Customer Data Platform (CDP), you will define and deliver the strategic foundation for how Remitly manages customer data globally. You will own the product vision and roadmap for a privacy-first, secure, and scalable data platform that enables innovation while meeting evolving global consumer data protection requirements.

You will operate at the intersection of Platform, Engineering, Security, Privacy, Risk, and Product — shaping core architectural decisions and ensuring the platform scales with Remitly’s growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in technically complex, regulated environments and can move seamlessly between strategic thinking and deep technical execution.

You will report to the Group Product Manager and partner closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across the company.

You Will:
  • Set the 3-year roadmap for Remitly's customer data foundation, aligning with company-wide architecture and scalability goals.

  • Design and evolve canonical customer data models, ensuring consistency, extensibility, and high performance across all product lines.

  • Embed privacy-by-design into platform architecture, translating global data protection regulations into scalable, enforceable product capabilities.

  • Lead platform adoption and migration efforts, sequencing integration across teams while minimizing operational and customer impact.

  • Partner deeply with engineering on APIs, SDKs, schemas, and system design, making principled trade-offs between speed, compliance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

  • Set and report on platform-level metrics, including platform reliability, adoption, compliance readiness, and risk reduction.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including meaningful ownership of technical or platform products in fintech, SaaS, or other regulated environments.

  • Demonstrated experience setting and executing multi-year product strategy, particularly for infrastructure or shared services platforms.

  • Strong technical fluency, with the ability to engage in detailed discussions around APIs, data modeling, distributed systems, and system architecture trade-offs.

  • Experience operationalizing global consumer data protection and privacy requirements within product design and engineering systems.

  • A track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across engineering, compliance, legal, and business teams in ambiguous environments.

  • Experience leading at least one large-scale migrations or platform transformations, with clear outcomes and measurable impact.
