Job Description:

As a Sr Product Designer  at FIS, you’ll help design the future of banking experience for millions of consumers. This is a position within our new multidisciplinary design group, focusing on a mix of building banking experiences from scratch, redesigning existing SaaS banking products, and contributing to our FIS design system.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with senior designers to develop engaging product experiences, participating in projects from concept to execution.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, user research activities, and feedback reviews to improve design solutions.
  • Contribute to the design of financial products, owning specific experiences from conception to development.
  • Use design tools like Figma to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that help visualize product features.
  • Collaborate with user research, translating findings into journeys that illuminate pain points and potential solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical constraints and ensure designs are feasible, proactively unblocking themselves.
  • Create and communicate working plans, continuously setting expectations with cross-functional partners and management.
  • Participate in critiques, showing work early and often while also contributing to the design quality and fidelity of team members.

What You’ll Need:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a product design role (internships or freelance work are applicable).
  • Basic understanding of design principles, user-centered design, and usability best practices.
  • Familiarity with design software like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Effective storytelling skills and the ability to present designs with impact.
  • Proficiency in connecting business goals, research insights, and product goals to create and iterate.
  • A desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, receiving feedback and applying it to improve your work.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant projects that showcase your design thinking and problem-solving skills.

What We Offer:

  • Impactful Work: Shape the future of digital banking experiences.
  • Growth Opportunities: Continued learning, development, and leadership opportunities.
  • Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive health plans, 401(k), and more.
