Job Summary:

The Senior Product Content Strategist shapes how Central 1 communicates the value of its products and services across payments, clearing and settlement and treasury. The role develops and maintains product messaging strategies, value propositions and content frameworks that strengthen product positioning, support demand generation and advance goals related to client retention and expansion. Working closely with Marcom colleagues, product, and other partners, this role ensures product narratives are clear, consistent and grounded in client needs, market insights and competitive context. The position contributes to the development of product content across digital channels, campaigns and sales enablement materials, helping articulate Central 1’s strategic direction, market presence and overall value proposition while ensuring alignment across audiences and touchpoints.
 

What you'll be doing:
 

Product Messaging & Positioning
  • Develop clear and consistent product messaging that articulates features, advantages and benefits for Central 1 offerings across payments, clearing and settlement and treasury, including relevant value-added services for these business lines (fraud, data services, etc.)
  • Build and maintain product positioning frameworks, value propositions, and message maps that define how we present our solutions and support both demand generation and client expansion.
  • Translate complex technical or regulatory information into accessible, client-focused content for B2B audiences.
  • Use market insights, competitive analysis and client feedback to refine messaging and strengthen product narratives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise product and program names, as well as articulate customer-centric value propositions.
  • Participate in the creation and refinement of personas, client journey maps and segmentation frameworks to ensure product content aligns to audience needs.
Strategic Narrative and Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Collaborate with Product, Communications and MarCom Primes to develop integrated product narratives that reflect Central 1’s strategic direction and brand voice.
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts and product owners to extract key differentiators and client value insights.
  • Plan and create content that supports major organizational initiatives, including product enhancements, strategic narratives and modernization work.
  • Ensure product information is presented accurately and consistently across touchpoints by supporting with the maintenance of content and editorial guidelines, and glossaries and messaging repositories (including the monitoring of product trademark usage in material)
Content development for Digital Channels and Demand Generation
  • Contribute to demand generation initiatives by developing content for digital campaigns, nurture programs, presentations and sales enablement materials.
  • Work with internal product SMEs and clients to pull together client success stories that demonstrate the value and real-world impact of Central 1’s products and services.
  • Develop and refine web content, email content and other digital assets that support product awareness, adoption and growth.
  • Outline and structure content for web pages, dashboards, product centres and other digital experiences, ensuring clarity, usability and consistency.
  • Support the development of content and messaging for conference speaker submissions, abstracts, product-focused sessions and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Brand & Creative team on content priorities for wireframes, page structures, presentations and campaign concepts.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Partner with external writers and contractors as needed, providing clear briefs and reviewing deliverables for accuracy and alignment.
  • Work alongside project managers and cross-functional partners to understand requirements, prioritize work and deliver high quality content under tight timelines.
  • Establish and maintain reusable content frameworks and templates that improve speed, quality and consistency across teams.
  • Monitor the performance of product content with Marketing Analytics to optimize messaging and support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to or advise on taxonomy, naming conventions and structured content systems for product centres, support hubs or documentation repositories.
  • Provide coaching or guidance to junior team members or partners to elevate the overall quality of product content across the organization.

What you'll have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, communications or marketing is required
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or communications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current marketing strategies, social media engagement and the digital marketing landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on crafting engaging content that resonates across diverse audiences and brand personas.
  • Ability to think strategically and distill and create key messages from discussions and briefings.
  • Ability to generate original concepts and ideas, given strategic direction.
  • Ability to confidently interface with senior leaders, SME partners and executives within Central 1, as well as representatives from client organizations.
  • Strong client centricity and interpersonal skills, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously and multi-task accordingly with little supervision.
  • Ability to work quickly under frequent pressure against tight deadlines and take direction from several individuals, and adapt to a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Previous exposure to the credit union system, fintech, payments and/or financial services landscape would be an asset.
  • Proficient use of project management software (e.g. Monday.com) is an asset, as well as Microsoft or other whiteboard software.
  • Stay current on emerging AI tools and trends related to content creation, copywriting and scripting, and identify opportunities to apply them to improve quality, efficiency and consistency.

Salary range: $90,000-$105,000

The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
