Product Acceleration and Optimization (PAO) is an organization within our Product team. Our mission is to enable customers and our services ecosystem to adopt Workday products and solutions in the most effective and efficient manner and with the highest quality to ensure lasting customer success.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who is passionate about partnering with our Product, Sales and Consulting partners to ensure the successful implementation of Workday Student and other Workday products. The primary focus of this role will be on Academic Foundation, Curriculum, Student Records, Registration and Academic Advising relative to Workday Student implementation, however candidates are expected to have hands-on experience with collaborating with functional peers to isolate customer facing solutions.  

The Product Advisor drives enablement through the following programs:

  • Strategic Customer Engagement

  • Leading Deployment Offerings for New Offerings and Acquisitions

  • Feature Release Deployment Guidance

  • Leading efforts to reduce Deployment costs

As a Product Advisor, you will:

  • Influence the product roadmap as an advocate of Services feedback

  • Coordinate alignment across diverse organizations including Product, Services, Education, Support, Strategy and Pre-Sales

  • Drive consistency and quality through pre-configured content and standard deployment tools

  • Act as the Workday advisor for product on large scale complex deployments, escalations, and sales opportunities

  • Collaborate with product management in customer conversations to understand the strategic direction of our Workday Student product and articulate the product vision to deployment teams through advisory services

  • Conduct Knowledge Sharing Sessions with the consulting ecosystem on product enhancement and emerging functionality

  • Align with Services Managers to identify critical gaps in consultant knowledge base and develop strategy to close those gaps

  • Keep consulting ecosystem up to date on new features and appropriately communicate impact to customers and/or projects

  • Support project teams in applying Workday best practices for deployment and configuration

  • Deliver product update content to consultants and customers via consolidated release notes, next level content,  product demos and best practice guides after each software release

  • Serve as the escalation point for product issues

  • Research and coordinate potential product issues and escalations with members from other teams to support implementation projects 

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years deploying or supporting Workday Student

  • 5+ years implementing or supporting Student Information Systems at a college or university

  • Ability to travel 10-20% under normal conditions

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with a consulting/software company implementing enterprise applications (e.g., Workday Student, Sungard, Datatel, Oracle/PeopleSoft, SAP, Kuali, Elucian, or similar applications) in higher education

  • Deep familiarity in these Student Academic Services sub-topics:

    • Student Records

    • Student Registration

    • Curriculum Management

    • Academic Advising

    • Academic Foundation

    • Student Academic related business processes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational, time management and presentation skills

  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location: CAN.BC.Vancouver

Primary CAN Base Pay Range: $110,200 - $165,200 CAD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $119,800 USD - $212,600 USD
