We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Peoplesoft Specialist to join our IT team in Langley, BC.  

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Applications Support, you will work with business and IT partners to architect and deliver strong system design solutions, participate in guiding technical direction within or across teams and lead an agile development team.

More specifically, you will implement, support, and maintain application software by understanding problems, identifying solutions, and undertaking system development and/or enhancements.
You will be responsible for:

• Partnering with business leaders and understanding their priorities.

• Handling escalation of complex design and troubleshooting.

• Writing, modifying, integrating, testing, and maintaining software code.

• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation including, but not limited to system documentation, user manuals, technical support guides and help desk documentation.

• Undertaking systems analysis and design activities to deliver technical solutions to business opportunities when needed.

• Providing technical support to system users.

• Participating in planning and execution of integration and system test cycles when needed.

• Ensuring technical direction and standards are implemented in deliverables.

• Providing mentoring and technical coaching to others when needed.

• Preparing work package plans and delivery dates and managing all tasks associated with the delivery of those work packages.

• Implement PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.

• Coordinating deployments across multiple IT groups.

You have:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PeopleSoft developer/analyst.

• Extensive experience in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker (required), SQR, SQL, Application Packages, BI Publisher, PS Query.

• Experience with PeopleSoft finance modules AP, GL, AR, eProcurement, AM.

• Exposure to Finance cloud implementation/cloud hosting.

• Hands-on experience with API development and integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).

• Strong working knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, design and implementation preferably using either Oracle or SQL Server technologies.

• Experience in debugging and tracing Peoplesoft sessions.

• Proven ability to translate requirements into functional and technical specifications and a strong system design.

• Proficiency with source control processes and tools.

• Proven ability to contribute and collaborate on solution designs.

• Extensive experience in troubleshooting and solving problems in a complex environment.

• Experience mentoring/growing junior team members.

• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Fluids, WorkCenters is an asset.

• Knowledge of retail business practices (asset).

• Understanding of cloud-based integrations, IICS and data migration strategies (asset).
