The Senior Narrative Lead develops brand narratives for Arc'teryx in the Trail category, collaborating with creative teams and ensuring brand voice consistency across platforms.
Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
The Narrative Lead is pivotal for the Global Brand Studio, leading the strategic development of the voice of the brand in the Trail category. This person possesses a deep understanding of and insight into the mentality and practices of the trail community and can translate this perspective into a voice which powers the Arc’teryx brand across various print and digital platforms and consumer touchpoints. This role collaborates closely with the Creative Studios’ art directors, writers, and film and photo leads to create industry leading stories and campaigns.
This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

If you were the Senior Narrative Lead, Global Brand Studio - Trail now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing
- Developing and executing compelling brand narratives that align with long-term themes and seasonal strategies – in short, you will write the future of the Arc’teryx brand in Trail to drive future growth
- Leading in partnership: working closely with multidisciplinary teams—such as art directors, designers, producers, and brand marketers—to translate briefs into innovative and emotive stories and campaigns across various guest touchpoints
- Crafting high-quality storytelling content, including manifestos, headlines, scripts, and social media copy, whether in a writing or editing capacity—to ensure a voice which is on-brand, culturally relevant, and platform-appropriate
- Utilizing data and insights to inform creative direction—and actively engage in the feedback loop, including an ongoing dialog with our roster of Trail athletes and ambassadors
- Collaborating with the Direct studio to ensure the Trail voice is consistent across both Brand and product campaigns
- Building and presenting decks to stakeholders, and driving alignment across the organization
- Owning the full scope of work, from concept to delivery
- Collaborating with a team of talented writers and filmmakers, actively seeking growth and cultivating a collaborative, team-first working environment

- Story mining and storyboarding festival worthy film pitches with a wide array of internal and external creative partners
- Solving complex creative problems across the organization with thoughtful, distilled creative solutions
- Articulating the brand voice across constantly evolving social media and owned brand platforms, with an eye for story in all executions
Are you our next Senior Narrative Lead, Global Brand Studio - Trail?
- You have 5+ years in a creative role leading strategic and creative writing or narrative development in a brand or agency setting
- You possess a deep understanding of creative strategy and writing within a brand organization, translating business priorities into highly engaging consumer-facing content
- You have experience working on global campaigns, with a solid understanding of social media platforms from short-form to long-form content
- You have a natural ability to collaborate with different teams across channels of distribution, and possess a strong awareness of channel strategies, standard methodologies, findings, and platform innovations
- You have facility with Figma/Keynote/Google Slides and Powerpoint in a pinch
- You are able to flex between creative ideation and metrics
- You set a clear vision for creative projects and rally those around you
- Your passion for work is matched by your passion for getting outside
