The Role
Engaging with clients and gaining a deep understanding of their problem, needs, goals, and priorities, as well as their technical architecture.
Architecting, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable mobile applications using React Native and Native iOS and/or Android.
Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications on both iOS and Android.
Implementing best practices in mobile development, including testing, monitoring, and deployment.
Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in mobile development, both in the React Native ecosystem and native platforms.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in mobile application development.
Strong proven experience building and shipping production applications that have been released on the App Store / Play Store.
Demonstrated experience with React Native as well as native iOS development (Swift) and/or native Android development (Kotlin).
Experience connecting React Native apps to native modules for custom functionality.
Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle for both iOS and Android.
Familiarity with integrating with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
Experience with mobile testing and profiling frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Native Testing Library, etc).
Comfortable with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for mobile applications.
Experience managing projects and demonstrated record of ownership over work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have
Strong eye for design and user experiences.
Experience working with backend development.
Experience building on the web with React, Next.js or similar.
Experience with implementing accessibility features in mobile applications.
Contributions to open-source mobile projects.
Relevant industry certifications or publications.
