Position Overview


The Senior Marketing Manager plays a new and vital role within the Go-To-Market (GTM) organization, tasked with developing and executing comprehensive SaaS marketing strategies to enhance SpryPoint’s brand visibility and business development initiatives. 


This role requires early-stage SaaS environment experience, leveraging a background of entrepreneurial and collaborative scenarios as they deliver on the company's OKRs/KPIs and pipeline and revenue goals as well as:


Developing and executing strategies and programs that drive measurable outbound and inbound demand integrated with the company's GTM strategies and priorities.


Implementation, preparation and management of an SDR team to generate measurable impact on pipeline


Increased brand awareness and relevancy within the utility market ecosystem 


Development and execution of multi-channel programs and campaigns, including digital, social media, events and email


Support of sales and partner enablement to empower the front-line revenue team and equip them with the resources needed to generate, close, and expand revenue and relationships


Further, the role will involve the trade and marketing event coordination, and production and distribution of high-impact marketing content. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have success working across multiple internal departments and external partners to drive strategy execution.


The Senior Marketing Manager will lead digital marketing efforts to optimize our web presence, email campaigns, in addition to managing an in-house team of Sales Development Reps (SDRs) team to significantly increase prospect engagement and conversions. 


This role is crucial for ensuring that all marketing communications align with SpryPoint's brand and strategic goals, contributing directly to the company's visibility and client engagement strategies.


The Senior Marketing Manager works closely with Sales, RevOps, Product, external Marketing resources, and other departments to align marketing strategies with broader company objectives. Through these diverse responsibilities, the role significantly impacts SpryPoint's market presence and its ability to attract and retain clients.


Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Develop and implement marketing plans that align with the company’s business goals and GTM strategies.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor the marketing/SDR team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high performance.
  • Event Management: Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including budget management, logistics, and vendor relationships to ensure seamless and effective trade shows and marketing events.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including content strategy for the company website, SEO/SEM campaigns, and social media strategy to drive traffic and engagement.
  • Content Development: Orchestrate the creation of compelling marketing content, from product summaries to digital assets, ensuring all materials adhere to brand guidelines and market trends.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, Revenue Operations (RevOps), and product development teams to ensure marketing strategies are integrated and supportive of overall business objectives.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Working closely with RevOps, monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies, leveraging analytics to inform and refine future marketing efforts.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • A background in marketing to public sector or utility industry is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a management role within a similar industry.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor a team, with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of current marketing tools and strategies and able to lead integrated marketing campaigns from concept to execution. Experience with Hubspot, ZoomInfo, and SFDC systems preferred. 
  • Background in high-growth, PE-backed, scale-up stage, SaaS environments as well as in the utility sector industry a plus.
  • Strong analytic, organizational, and logic capabilities are a must.
