Job Summary:
At Cat Digital, we are creating a world-class, next-generation platform that will power a growing ecosystem of innovative, customer-focused applications. We are seeking a strategic, visionary, and technically outstanding Senior Software Engineering Manager within Cat Digital Platform Services to lead multiple high-impact teams in building and scaling reusable platform services and APIs that enable enterprise-wide applications and products.
What You Will Do:

• Define and execute the vision for several scalable and secure platform Services and APIs that promote reuse, reduce duplication, and improve developer productivity.
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, security, and business stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities align with long-term enterprise strategy and evolving customer needs.
• Drive the design and development of Platform Services/APIs with reusability in mind, balancing immediate business needs with future use cases by anticipating and forecasting evolving requirements.
• You will constantly seek opportunities to improve organizational efficiencies.

What You Will Have:

• Organizational Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams, foster a culture of accountability and innovation, and influence cross-functional stakeholders to deliver enterprise platform strategy and outcomes.
• Software Architecture: Deep understanding of designing and evolving reusable platform services (shared APIs, common frameworks, foundational services) that enable downstream product teams to scale efficiently.
• Software Development: Proven expertise in designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native distributed systems, Platform Services and APIs, and driving engineering best practices across quality, performance, reliability, security, and automation.
• Operational Excellence: Ability to detect systemic issues early, manage risk proactively, and drive corrective actions across teams and services.

Top candidates will have:

• Gen AI Assisted Development: Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot or automated agent workflows) to accelerate code generation, boilerplate reduction, and automated testing across multiple teams.
• Managing Managers: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop engineering managers, setting clear expectations, coaching through complexity, and ensuring consistent execution, talent growth, and accountability across multiple teams.
• Vision & Execution at Scale: Proven ability to set a clear platform and engineering vision and drive multiple complex initiatives in parallel through a large organization of 40+ software engineers, aligning teams, managing dependencies, and delivering outcomes with consistency and accountability.

Summary Pay Range:
$159,120.00 - $258,570.00
