THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented Senior Manager, Retention Marketing that will take complete ownership of all marketing channels to create long-lasting connections with our members. The role demands a blend of strategic vision and creativity to lead and execute initiatives while driving business performance. This person will be expected to have a strong marketing background to strategically and creatively lead marketing efforts for core business functions across Retention. Not exhaustive, but this person should enjoy creative storytelling, pushing the boundaries of marketing, defining solutions, and taking ownership of the process from 0 all the way to 1, etc. The work that they produce will be both highly impactful and highly visible.

Reporting to the Director, Retention Marketing, the ideal candidate is a skilled collaborator who is able to work across the business to optimize retention efforts, drive loyalty and integrate innovative channels to bolster the company’s success. The ideal candidate is a data-driven and detail-oriented leader who excels at driving end-to-end initiatives from inception to implementation, to inspire and delight customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead marketing efforts to engage our customers and deploy initiatives that will enhance our core advocacy and recurring revenue programs.
  • Utilize new and existing marketing channels to launch programs in support of core business functions. Monitor channel performance and continuously ideate and iterate on ways to optimize channel effectiveness.
  • Craft clear stories that resonate with customers, enhancing their connection to AG1 and increase loyalty.
  • Drive personalization by leveraging segmentation data and insights, delivering content that resonates with customer segments.
  • Develop strategic solutions from abstract ideas to drive growth in retention, advocacy, and revenue, producing both short-term and long-term results.
  • Collaborate with Customer Insights to gain a deep understanding of the customer journey, leveraging insights to inform strategic decision-making and enhance overall retention efforts.
  • Report growth results regularly to the broader team, using insights to optimize performance and identify growth opportunities continually.
  • Partner closely with the Brand and Creative team to elevate content quality across marketing channels, ensuring consistency and relevancy in messaging.
  • Deploy customer tools / offerings to enhance loyalty and retention, driving automation efforts where applicable to  drive impact.
  • In our continuous pursuit of excellence, consistently analyze retention data, identify ways to improve LTV, and share observations & recommendations with the Member Experience leadership team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5-7 years of retention, lifecycle, or related experience.
  • Subscription and/or high-growth experience is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field.
  • Abstract problem solving with a propensity to move fast.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple work streams at once.
  • Proven experience running highly effective digital marketing programs and strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex data, data analysis, measurement, reporting, and hands-on use of data analytics tools.
  • Experience working with high-performing, cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $110,000-$135,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
