Our Ways of Working

Our team spans time zones, but real connection drives great work. We embrace remote flexibility, but twice a year, we come together—once as a company, once by department. These offsites aren’t just meetings; they’re key moments to collaborate, build trust, and strengthen the relationships that make us successful. Showing up every day matters. For this particular role, there may also be occasional travel to conferences or client locations on a quarterly basis.

What the Role Is

As the Senior Manager, Business Development, you will drive the expansion and evolution of our advertising and media business beyond its current scope. This role requires a strategic, data-driven leader to develop scalable impact to our partnerships strategy, while still aligning with our core audience and business. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of B2C marketing and partnerships, with a passion for building innovative collaborations that will propel our business to new heights.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a related ecommerce field, preferably in media, affiliate marketing, CPG, retail, or consumer tech.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing revenue-driving business development strategies and expanding strategic partnerships.
  • Expertise in market evaluation, including conducting quantitative and qualitative research to identify new opportunities and product-market fit (PMF).
  • Deep understanding of media monetization, affiliate partnerships, and revenue-share models, with experience on both buy-side and sell-side media dynamics.
  • Strong financial acumen, leveraging market insights, financial modeling, and ROI analysis to build data-driven business cases and drive stakeholder buy-in.
  • Strong KPI-driven approach, defining success metrics, tracking performance, and iterating based on results.
  • Exceptional strategic thinker who can identify and pursue high-value growth opportunities aligned with Babylist’s media and acquisition goals.
  • Excellent project management skills, taking initiatives from concept to execution while collaborating across Partnerships, Brand, CRM, and Product teams.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying market opportunities and expanding Media and Affiliate monetization across registry, content, and Babylist Health.
  • Develop and execute new business opportunities by researching product-market fit, launching MVPs, and refining scalable solutions.
  • Expand strategic partnerships to extend Babylist’s user engagement beyond birth, securing high-value collaborations with brands
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Partnerships, CRM, Brand, and Product teams to align on business development initiatives and launch new products.
  • Optimize business development strategy by setting clear KPIs, tracking performance, and iterating based on data.
  • Create guiding principles to determine when to start, pivot, or stop projects based on return on effort.
  • Measure success through increased revenue, deeper strategic partnerships, and extended user engagement post-registry.
