We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to bring creativity, strategy, and design expertise to our growing West Division marketing team. If you have A/E/C industry experience and a keen eye for layout and visual storytelling, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to California and Nevada’s most transformative transportation projects.
As a key creative partner, you’ll collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams, as well as leadership, to develop bold, high-impact materials. From designing graphics and templates for complex proposals and interviews to crafting **engaging print and digital assets—brochures, flyers, and presentation boards—**your work will help bring groundbreaking projects to life.

What You'll Do:

  • Creates print and digital materials for proposals, including templates, charts, maps, infographics, covers and layout.
  • Creates print and digital materials for presentations, including PowerPoints, leave-behinds, and display boards.
  • Creates print and digital materials for PR and internal communications, including brochures, ads, and announcements.
  • Follows and implements the visual identity direction from leadership on key projects and pursuits.
  • May work on complex projects requiring specialized design or industry knowledge, including leading creative direction for print and digital materials for proposals, presentations or other marketing-related efforts.
  • Utilizes storytelling techniques and champions creative vision on key projects and pursuits.
  • Leads maintenance and organization of digital assets such as icons, photography, and stock graphics.
  • Coordinates with print vendors and photographers.
  • Responsible for final graphics review and approval.
  • Mentors lower-level designers. Regularly shares and discusses work with creative staff.
  • May assist with conducting trainings for Marketing staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Associates Degree in Art, Graphic Design or related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or
  • In lieu of education 8 years of relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Design projects using advanced InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator skills.

  • Conduct interviews to uncover key messages and translate them into compelling visuals.

  • Independently solve design challenges while mentoring and supporting junior staff.

  • Collaborate with a creative team to develop high-impact projects.

  • Develop high-level presentation templates and contribute to storyboarding, messaging, and rehearsals.

  • Apply storytelling techniques to enhance visual communication and drive creative direction.

  • Manage workflows, introduce new tools, and improve design efficiencies.

  • Gather insights from strategy sessions to refine creative execution.

  • Apply expert typography principles to ensure optimal readability and impact.

What We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design, or related field.

  • 5+ years of A/E/C industry experience with a strong portfolio.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and CC Libraries.

  • Comfortable on both PC and Mac platforms.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint.

  • Familiar with AI tools and design technologies to enhance workflows.

The approximate pay range for Los Angeles Metro Area and Orange County, CA is $93,540.99 - $146,307.68. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.

The approximate pay range for the California San Francisco Bay Area is $101,674.98 - $159,030.08. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.

The approximate pay range for San Diego, Sacramento and Inland Empire, CA is $89,473.97 - $139,946.49. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
