Who You’ll Work With

As a member of the Cross Domain Automation (CDA) team you will collaborate with other dedicated and hard-working engineers to deliver a cloud-native, multi-tenant, virtual networking service creation and automation platform that helps service providers and enterprises quickly, easily, and cost-effectively develop and deliver AI enabled Managed Services to their business customers and end users.

What You’ll Do

The CDA Engineering team will design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using cloud technologies for the Cloud Services market. This group within Cisco is tasked with building the solution from the ground up to transform the future of virtual service delivery including automation of AI enabled networks.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Deliver features that help automate the provisioning, management and monitoring of AI powered applications
  • Participate in activities being done for Platform Scalability, Redundancy and High Availability
  • Design and Develop RESTful APIs for highly scalable SaaS deployments
  • Design and implement data models using Model driven development approach
  • Implement rich UI features using wide range of UI technologies in React, Lit, Web Component and Typescript
  • Implement Automated testing using Python and Selenium.
  • Work with Architecture and business partners to plan and design new solutions that enable fast deployment of cloud-based AI networking services for both Enterprises and Service Providers customer
  • Design and document technical specifications that will be used to communicate and validate the overall capability of a use case
  • Participate in design sessions to support and validate ideas for possible solution
  • Develop and participate in the overall continuous integration process
  • Write both automated and manual tests that validate the acceptance criteria for a given feature
  • Work in an Agile environment using Scrum and Kanban methodologies
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of software development experience in different areas of Software development stack.
  • Experience in 4 of more of the following programming languages/frameworks: Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Java, Spring, Go, React, Python
  • Experience in 3 or more of the following technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Rest API, CI/CD, Jenkins, and AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing large, distributed enterprise applications (scalable, reliable, available, distributed)
  • Experience in one of the following technologies: Kafka, Redis.io, Consul, Vault
  • Experience or willingness to work on proof-of-concept spikes as well as in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Familiarity with basic networking protocols

Vos collaborateurs et collaboratrices

En tant que membre de l’équipe d'automatisation interdomaine (CDA, Cross Domain Automation), vous collaborerez avec d’autres ingénieurs dévoués dans le but d’offrir une plateforme d'automatisation et de création de services de réseau virtuel multilocataires en nuage qui aidera les fournisseurs de services et les entreprises à développer et à livrer rapidement, facilement et de manière économique des services gérés optimisés par l’intelligence artificielle à leurs clients commerciaux et utilisateurs finaux.

Vos tâches

L’équipe d’ingénierie de la CDA concevra, développera et déploiera des solutions d'automatisation en utilisant des technologies infonuagiques pour le marché des services en nuage. Au sein de Cisco, ce groupe est chargé de créer la solution à partir de zéro pour transformer l’avenir de la prestation de services virtuels, y compris l’automatisation de réseaux optimisés par l'intelligence artificielle.

Rôles et responsabilités
  • Offrir des fonctionnalités qui aident à automatiser le provisionnement, la gestion et la surveillance d'applications optimisées par l’intelligence artificielle
  • Participer aux activités menées pour l’évolutivité, la redondance et la disponibilité élevée des plateformes.
  • Concevoir et développer des API RESTful pour des déploiements de logiciels-services (SaaS) hautement évolutifs.
  • Concevoir et implémenter des modèles de données à l’aide d’une approche de développement axée sur les modèles.
  • Implémenter de riches fonctionnalités d’interface utilisateur à l’aide d’une large gamme de technologies d’interface utilisateur dans React, Lit, Web Component et Typescript.
  • Implémenter des tests automatisés à l’aide de Python et de Selenium.
  • Travailler avec l'équipe Architecture et les partenaires commerciaux pour planifier et concevoir de nouvelles solutions qui permettent un déploiement rapide des services de réseau en nuage optimisés par l'intelligence artificielle pour les entreprises et les fournisseurs de services clients.
  • Concevoir et documenter les spécifications techniques qui seront utilisées pour communiquer et valider la portée globale d’un cas d’utilisation.
  • Participer à des séances de conception pour soutenir et valider les idées de solutions possibles.
  • Participer et contribuer au processus global d’intégration continue.
  • Rédiger des tests automatisés et manuels qui valident les critères d’acceptation globaux pour une fonctionnalité donnée.
  • Travailler dans un environnement agile en utilisant les méthodologies Scrum et Kanban
Qualifications minimales :
  • Baccalauréat ou expérience équivalente en informatique, en technologies de l’information ou dans un domaine technique connexe.
  • Au moins sept ans d’expérience en développement logiciel dans différents domaines de la pile logicielle.
  • Expérience avec au moins quatre des langages ou cadres de programmation suivants : Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Java, Spring, Go, React, Python.
  • Expérience avec au moins trois des technologies suivantes : Docker, Kubernetes, Rest API, CI/CD, Jenkins et AWS.
Compétences recherchées :
  • Expérience dans le développement d’applications distribuées de grande entreprise (évolutives, fiables, disponibles, distribuées).
  • Expérience avec une des technologies suivantes : Kafka, Redis.io, Consul, Vault.

Compensation Range:
$122,600$177,700 CAD

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. The recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter.  Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
