We’re looking for… A motivated and adaptable Senior Financial Analyst to take on a senior individual contributor role within our finance team. The ideal candidate will thrive in the dynamic environment of a scale-up SaaS company and be a key driver of process improvements to make our finance organization run more efficiently. They will be excited about the opportunity to learn from an experienced CFO and be involved in the financial operations of a PE-backed scale-up.


The Finance Team you’ll be joining

The Accounting and Finance team at Lillio is a high-performing, Agile team committed to the financial stewardship of our rapidly growing business. They are focused on using process improvement, automation, and the latest finance and accounting technology to ensure efficiency and ROI across the business, while maintaining compliance with industry best practices as we grow our team.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Financial Modeling and Forecasting:
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to project revenues, expenses, and financial outcomes.
  • Analyze historical data and market trends to create accurate financial forecasts.

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
  • Collect and examine financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Deliver insights and actionable recommendations to support strategic initiatives.

  • Budgeting and Cost Analysis:
  • Assist in the formulation and management of departmental budgets.
  • Conduct cost analyses to optimize financial efficiency and ensure budget compliance.

  • Reporting and Presentations:
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure precision and clarity in all documentation and drive effective communication of financial results.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis roles
  • Experience in SaaS or technology-focused companies is highly preferred, with a deep understanding of subscription-based revenue models and SaaS metrics (e.g., MRR, ARR, Churn, LTV).
  • Prior experience working with Private Equity-backed businesses and familiarity with the expectations and reporting standards PE firms require.
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to the finance function at a growth-stage company, including modelling, forecasting, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong background in financial reporting under Canadian accounting standards (ASPE or IFRS), and experience with external audits.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling).
  • Familiarity with financial automation tools for streamlining accounting processes

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with payroll and expense software in a SaaS environment, eg. Float, Deel, Rippling, ADP
  • Experience with companies that have gone through an M&A process
  • Experience with companies in the manufacturing sector
