About the role/team:
WEX is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A organization and play an integral role in supporting our technology teams. The candidate will work closely with our business stakeholders and provide financial partnership, insights and analysis for each respective area. How you will make an impact:
Financial Partnering
Develop best practice reporting for our stakeholders, preparing and presenting financial reports, explaining financial results and highlighting key areas of focus while leveraging automation tools to develop operational efficiencies and best practices
Build strong partnerships across multiple lines of business. Connecting our technology teams with our commercial finance partners
Maintain a culture of a high service level and a proactive behavior to meet ELT stakeholder expectations
Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leadership to forecast, track, and manage departmental headcount allocations, providing regular reporting and insightful analysis to drive strategic workforce decisions
Reporting/ Forecasting
Deliver financial reporting of Technology operating expenses on a monthly basis
Support standard monthly close process(reclasses, accruals, variance analysis, reconciliation of financial systems)
Provide meaningful insights and perspective on forward looking projections, while understanding the nuance of the businesses being supported
Guide financial partners on projection implications to help the business make strategic decisions.
Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and other Finance teams to support the monthly close process, reporting and variance analysis
Process Improvement
Continuously review and suggest enhancements to the current processes using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, UIPath, etc.
Demonstrate innovation and success in fixing and building processes to maximize efficiency and minimize unnecessary work, including the identification and removal of non-value-added activity
Bring strong communication skills, organizational rigor, and a strong desire to improve the financial relationship with our internal & external customers
Experience you will bring:
Undergraduate degree degree in Accounting or Finance
10+ years of professional experience working in FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, business partner / analytics, or similar role.
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Experience with automation tools
