We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Fintech to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This position reports to Senior Manager, Revenue FP&A.
This role is available to candidates across Canada, excluding Quebec, and can be performed remotely.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, Fintech, you will play a critical role in driving strategic decision-making, developing complex financial models, and partnering cross-functionally on high-impact projects. This role requires a deep understanding of Fintech business models, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What you’ll work on:

Reconcile daily and monthly Stripe reports, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies. Investigate and resolve any reconciliation issues promptly.

Closely monitor and analyze basis points (bps) related to payment processing. Track bps across different payment methods, transaction types, and geographic regions.

Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payment processing, such as authorization rates and chargeback rates. Proactively identify trends and provide insightful commentary explaining drivers of fluctuations in these metrics.

Evaluate the financial performance of new fintech product features and experiments, including but not limited to the introduction of new payment methods and A/B testing. Develop financial models to assess the impact of these initiatives on revenue, costs, profitability, and customer retention.

Develop and maintain comprehensive Fintech revenue forecasting models, in collaboration with revenue-generating teams.

Gather data from payments reporting platforms (i.e. Stripe) and internal sources (Looker, SFDC) to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, and provide key analytics, analyses, and summaries as required.

Conduct in-depth scenario analyses to evaluate the potential impact of various business strategies and market conditions.

Deeply analyze data and work closely with business partners to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and growth.

Monitor KPIs, identify trends and proactively work with operational leaders on opportunities to grow the business.

Ensure strong data integrity and maintain accurate financial reporting.

Work closely with Accounting to ensure all financial information is accurate.
What you bring:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (finance, accounting)

CPA, CFA, or MBA designation is preferred

Have 4+ years of Financial Planning or Business Analyst experience

A strong understanding of Fintech business model is a must

Experience working with Payments processing platforms (i.e. Stripe) and a solid understanding of settlement processes is a big asset

Familiarity with Stripe reporting tools and Looker is a big asset

The full salary range* for this role is $95,700 to $112,600 to $129,500 CAD.Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
