As Senior Financial Analyst, Consolidations and Reporting, you will provide support to the Senior Manager, Consolidations with preparation of Global and sub-Consolidated Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement. This includes, but not limited to, preparation of consolidation journals, validation of results from the consolidation tool (“Oracle FCCS”), coordination and preparation of certain sub-consolidation files, and preparation of statement of changes in equity, CTA proofing and NCI calculation proofing.
This role will be based in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

  • Using Oracle FCCS, prepare Global and Sub-Consolidated Balance Sheets, Income statements, and Statement of Changes in Equity, as well as supporting non-controlling interest proof checks, and currency translation proof checks under the guidance of the Senior Manager.
  • Support the financial reporting team in preparing Notes to the Financial Statements and MD&A.
  • Update Oracle FCCS for ongoing legal entity changes and mergers and validate system calculations for these changes.
  • Coordinate with business units on the information required to complete consolidation/sub-consolidation such as cash flow forms, group reporting packs, and information from the tax team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve/innovate financial reporting processes and procedures in Oracle FCCS and the Narrative reporting tool.
  • Support year-end technical accounting activities such as ARO and Impairment analysis.
  • Support Internal and External Audit and ad-hoc Projects.
  • Support annual and quarterly Standalone Financial Statements.
  • Support other business units on their ad-hoc requests for information.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) and 2+ years of progressive work experience at top tier professional accounting firms.
  • Knowledge or experience with preparing consolidations is essential.
  • Strong systems and technical/computer skills (Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of Wdesk, Workday and Oracle FCCS or other consolidation tools is preferred but not mandatory.
