We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.  

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, you will be responsible for working with Operations and other business areas, performing a variety of financial activities including analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting. In this role, you will also provide internal stakeholders with insights regarding trends, opportunities for improvement and implications of business decisions.
You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting financial analysis to explain variances, observe trends, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Preparing monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and commentary.
  • Preparing and reviewing annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Reviewing financial analysis and reporting prepared by other team members to ensure it meets established standards of quality and is meaningful to the intended audience.
  • Conducting scenario modeling, ROI analysis, and profitability assessments.
  • Working with different business areas to review financial processes and procedures, ensuring they are consistently followed, making recommendations for improvement and assisting with their implementation.
  • Explaining financial implications of business decisions to management, providing financial training, and assisting with ad-hoc requests.
  • Preparing financial requirements documentation to support year-end audit for strategic initiatives and representing the finance team on various project teams, as required.

You have:

  • A CPA / CA / CGA / CMA designation (or working toward completion), or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of financial accounting experience (accounting, controls, systems), ideally within a retail environment.
  • Experience with financial software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Power BI)
  • Experience with financial statement reporting and working with budgets.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications.
  • Experience in full cycle accounting or auditing is considered an asset.

  • Able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent with time management and can multitask during tight project deadlines.
  • Able to understand, document, and evaluate business processes.

Compensation Details:

$81,920.00 - $102,400.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
