Job Summary:

Working along senior and staff engineers, you will contribute to the development, design and validation of next generation 5G routers and gateways.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop embedded designs including, PCB, analog/digital circuits, Power Supplies, Ethernet, SerDes (PCIe), USB, Op-amps, manufacturing test and RF technologies including WiFi, GNSS, Cellular and Bluetooth.

  • Verification of new and existing hardware architectures, electrical design work including schematic creation and pcb layout work. 

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of test methodologies to ensure products meet manufacturing requirements and product targets.

  • Participate in certification and regulatory approval activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology Diploma with relevant industry experience

  • 3+ years of experience or a combination of co-op and relevant industry experience

  • Experience in hardware design and documentation tools including schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation tools and strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Able to work independently and in cross functional teams

  • Working knowledge of DSOs, DMMs, spectrum and logic analyzers 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of wired and wireless networking protocols

  • Collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence 

  • Working knowledge of Linux and embedded systems

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is CAD $80,000 - $90,000.  There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
