About the Role
Vidyard is excited to welcome a Senior Director of Sales to lead our sales organization and help shape our growth journey. In this influential leadership role, you will report directly to the COO and drive a customer first culture of winning, creating value, collaborating, and refining scalable processes. Collaborating with marketing and executive leadership, you will deliver results, strategy, and insights that contribute to Vidyard’s success. This is a remote role open to candidates located in Canada or the US.
About the Team
As the Senior Director, Sales, you will be responsible for setting and executing Vidyard’s sales strategy, driving customer acquisition, and scaling our revenue growth. Our Sales team comprises talented professionals including BDRs/SDRs, Account Executives, and Account Management. Together, these teams drive revenue growth through proven modern sales models and tailored value propositions across diverse customer profiles.
What You’ll Work OnDrive Revenue and Productivity:
- Own and exceed revenue targets, creating strategies for pipeline generation and opportunity management.
- Partner with marketing on events, campaigns, and lead generation to maximize impact.
- Personally engage in high-value sales opportunities to close deals and build customer trust.
Team Leadership and Coaching:
- Guiding and coaching team members to refine their sales strategies, pipeline management, and opportunity development skills.
- Inspire and empower sales leaders fostering their ability to manage, coach, and scale high-performing teams effectively.
- Supporting career growth and professional development with thoughtful coaching and actionable feedback.
- Foster a high-performing and collaborative culture where team members thrive.
Refine Sales Strategy and Processes:
- Continuously evaluating forecasts, call volumes, and pipelines to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Optimize sales processes for efficiency, consistency, and scalability to support growth across all segments.
- Use data and analytics to forecast accurately, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
- Monitor and refine sales KPIs, ensuring alignment with Vidyard’s business objectives.
Champion Customer Obsession:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and prospects by understanding their challenges and offering tailored solutions.
- Engaging directly with high-value sales opportunities, providing guidance or participating as needed to ensure success.
- Actively championing customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Data-Driven Insights:
- Analyzing key sales metrics, pipeline data, and KPIs to create accurate forecasts and identify opportunities for growth.
- Sharing strategic insights with leadership to align sales strategies with broader organizational goals.
What You’ll Bring to this Role and Your New Team:
- 8+ years of proven sales leadership experience in B2B tech sales, with success in startup-to-scaleup
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and leading high-performing teams.
- Clear understanding, experience and proven track record at driving sales efficiency and productivity improvement through automation
- Familiarity with modern B2B sales tech stack including Clay
- Experience managing or working closely with GTM Engineering functions
- Expertise in sales analytics, pipeline management, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong understanding of the SaaS, high velocity mid-market and enterprise technology landscape.
- Exceptional interpersonal and executive communication skills, with the ability to build and nurture strong customer relationships.
- Comfort thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a bias for action and innovation.
