As a Senior Engineer, DevSecOps, you’ll have a critical role in strengthening the security posture of our products and platforms at scale. This is a high-impact, hands-on role focused on implementing practical solutions that embed security into every stage of the software development lifecycle—from automating checks and identifying vulnerabilities early, to fostering a culture of security awareness across Engineering. Your work will centre on application-level security, seamlessly integrating with CI/CD pipelines, collaborating closely with software developers, and advocating for secure coding practices. Operating at large internet scale, this role is instrumental in elevating our security standards while working extensively with AWS and Cloudflare services. With strong visibility from senior leadership, your contributions will have a direct and lasting impact on product quality and user trust. Your Impact

  • Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with teams to ensure secure and efficient software delivery
  • Monitor and maintain network and security infrastructure, proactively identifying and addressing potential threats
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks across our technology stack
  • Develop and implement innovative security solutions to enhance efficiency and resilience
  • Foster a culture of security awareness and proactive risk mitigation and mentor teams to embed DevSecOps best practices
  • Conduct comprehensive security testing on new and existing applications, ensuring vulnerabilities are identified and addressed
  • Automate key security processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Enhance threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response capabilities to protect our systems
  • Design and enforce secure cloud architectures, focusing on IAM, network segmentation, and encryption to safeguard data

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS and software development in any capacity
  • 3+ years in DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, or a related role
  • Proven track record of driving security initiatives from concept to execution
  • Experience mentoring and coaching development teams on secure practices
  • Deep understanding of AWS and Cloudflare, particularly their cloud architecture and security-related offerings
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation
  • Hands-on experience with security testing tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite, and strong knowledge of secure development practices
  • Practical experience with IAM, network security, and infrastructure hardening
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with a growth mindset—quick to learn new technologies, adapt to diverse platforms and codebases, and work effectively across teams
  • Self-motivated with sharp attention to detail and a passion for mentoring, fostering a culture of continuous learning while empowering engineers, developers, and testers to deliver high-quality, secure solutions

The typical salary range for this position is CAD $117,800 - $160,650 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience and market data.
