Position Summary:
As Tipalti’s Senior Designer, you’ll lead creative thinking on our in-house Creative team, and work directly with the Creative Director to help shape and develop new and refreshing branding approaches to the evolving Tipalti brand, crafting visual narratives that are approachable, memorable, modern, and fun. You’ll grow our strategic approach to narrative messaging, craft world-class visuals, absorb Marketing goals, and set the bar for our team’s role in helping Tipalti communicate effectively to new and existing audiences.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Team lead on executing end-to-end graphic design deliverables from concept phase to final production, across all marketing assets: digital ads, motion graphics, events, webinars, email campaigns, landing pages, social media, and occasional print graphics
- Leverage sophisticated, polished, professional motion graphics whenever possible to amplify marketing messaging into compelling and engaging designs which answer those messaging goals
- Lead the development of visual approaches, templates, and guidance which can deliver at scale: elevating the quality of work produced by a broader internal design team as well as external creative partners, and within fast and unpredictable timelines
- Directly support the Creative Director, and cross-functional leaders and partners, to continually update design roadmaps which can fulfill marketing communication objectives
- Leverage your deep experience at industry leading, imaginative and iterative visual storytelling to generate thoughtful ideas, compelling narratives, and scalable concepts
- Lead the production of refined, professional, best-in-class branded visuals that are unique, cohesive, and beautiful — for use in assets across multiple mediums and channels (digital, web banners, social media posts, email marketing, animation, landing pages)
- Execute the highest quality of design throughout all phases of the process: sketching, refining working design prototypes, and final production
- Lead creative brainstorms and critiques with a genuine interest in finding the best solution for engaging new and existing audiences
- Take ownership to ensure that every brief meets business goals and creative standards
- Manage collaboration with cross-functional departments (Creative, Marketing, Product)
- Leverage your deep deep experience to define, establish, and explain design standards, theory, and approaches
- Provide insights to the latest standards and trends in the design field
About you:
- Bachelor's Degree in Advertising or Graphic Design with relevant formal training
- At least 8-10 years of working experience on a professional creative team with at least 5 years in an in-house B2B SaaS environment.
- Firsthand experience producing digital assets, both static and animated (e.g. motion graphics, animation, landing pages, web banners, social media posts, email marketing)
- Excellent grasp of Motion Graphics, Typography, and basic Design Theory (hierarchy, rhythm, negative space, scale, balance, skimmability, color theory)
- Relevant knowledge of both classic and contemporary trends in typography, photography, illustration, motion graphics, video
- Strong background with metrics-driven creative (i.e. performance marketing, paid social, digital banners, direct response advertising design)
- Online portfolio demonstrating a solutions-based approach to innovative and inspired ideas and design with several examples of firsthand digital assets
- Advanced knowledge of motion design and relevant software (Figma, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects)
- Strong pre-visualization skills (e.g. wireframes, motion theory) and skills executing in digital mediums (web, video, occasional motion graphics)
- Understanding of current best practices in digital design, loose awareness of standards like CSS, Javascript, HTML, and front-end development, and familiarity and comfort working within UX constraints
- Mix of experience in both agency and in-house contexts is a plus
- Digital marketing background a plus (e.g. performance metrics and digital platforms)
- Startup experience a plus: fluid, faced-paced environment with same day multi-tasks
- Easy and positive collaborator across departments, contractors, and agencies
- Flexible but pragmatic, detail-oriented when necessary
- Mentor and inspire junior creatives

The estimated base salary for this role is $103,000- 115,000 CAD. Variable (commission or bonus) pay rate will be paid in addition to base salary noted above.
