As a Senior Data Analyst within the Marketing and Growth Analytics Team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights to drive strategic decision making. You will partner closely with stakeholders from our Web, Growth, and Marketing teams as well as with collaborators across our Data and Analytics teams. Your work will deepen our understanding of users’ needs and their behaviors across our acquisition funnel. You will become an expert in your domain and leverage your skills to communicate findings to the business, explaining the “why” behind the “what”. You will also be expected to apply your skills in experimentation to uncover deeper learnings behind our wide array of experiments. This position requires someone with a strong analytical and technical background, and who is comfortable working across multiple functional areas in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
This role can be based out of our New York City office or remotely in the United States.
Responsibilities- Lead in-depth analyses on user behavior and on the impact that growth initiatives have on user engagement, acquisition, product activation and user retention
- Partner with Web and Growth teams to support the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests and other experiments across the website to improve user experience
- Clearly communicate results and insights to the business through written reports and presentations
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries to support analyses and dashboards
- Build and manage scalable analytics products to enable self-serve reporting for stakeholders
- Participate in strategic discussions by serving as an analytical and technical thought partner to stakeholders across the business
- Research and implement new tooling/processes; seek out and automate existing costly manual processes
- 3+ years of hands-on analytics experience, ideally at a software company
- Strong proficiency and hands on experience in A/B Testing and measuring impact of experiments
- Advanced SQL skills, comfortable manipulating very large datasets
- Ability to query, transform and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
- Familiarity with top-of-funnel metrics and concepts to measure user acquisition and engagement
- Proficient in Python or R with a strong focus on data wrangling, data analysis, and machine-learning libraries; demonstrated ability in developing analytical toolkits
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and set priorities with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Extensive experience with Tableau or another leading visualization tool is required
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Effective at communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in a self-guided manner

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
