The Senior Business Analyst role has a number of functions including partnering with business line(s) to assess, research, analyze and document business and systems needs and partnering with the IT functions to recommend business solutions that meet the sponsor/stakeholder needs; provide support of key Finance and select business systems; and collaborating with Finance on process flow improvements and application of automation efficiencies leveraging AI. The role requires a high degree of interaction with the business members and serves as an intermediary between the business and IT. The role reports to the Director, Digital Solutions.
Responsibilities
Solution Consulting (Key Elements of the Role)
Provide application and business support for quality of services, particularly for Finance systems, this includes issue investigation and analysis
Collaborate with the business areas to understand business challenges and construct options for addressing the challenge that also fits into the long-term business and IT strategy
Collaborate with the team to identify, sequence and document requirements for modernization, and then defining how the modernized function will operate.
Collaborate with the Finance and IT Team in applying technologies, including AI, to achieve efficiencies in the Finance area
Maintains a strong, collaborative, healthy working relationship with the business representatives and acts as an intermediary between the business and IT and National Operations
Develops proposals for small to medium projects in concert with the business and assists in developing accurate, compelling business cases and approaches for solutions
Assess, research, analyze and document business needs in accordance with Project Life Cycle methodology
Ensures adequate end user documentation and training
Role Progression
Over time, the incumbent is expected to grow their breadth and depth of knowledge of key systems, including the ERP, Finance systems, and surrounding systems.
Grow partnerships through ensuring that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
Strategic Planning and Operational Support
Evolving knowledge over time of the Enterprise Architecture and related technologies to understand how these can be applied to improve business functions whether for efficiencies, revenue growth or other
Collaborate with development, architecture, operations, and Project Manager(s) in the modification of existing applications or services, and/or development of new software programs and applications.
Participate in feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings
Serve as a source of business and process knowledge to the IT team in collaborating and evolving the overall IT strategy
What you will bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Business-Related or Computer Related field or relevant experience
Minimum of 5 + years’ business analysis experience
Experience with Oracle Finance systems would be beneficial
Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
Disciplined approach to problem solving and process improvement

Previous experience or familiarity with wholesale distribution

Please note: The total compensation range posted for this role represents the total compensation opportunity, which may include base wage, bonuses, commissions, and/or other monetary components, if applicable. Placement in the range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, candidate experience, skills and qualifications relevant to the role.

Base salary range: $75,000 - $105,000 (Total compensation range $79,000-$115,500)
