About D3 Security

D3 Security is transforming SecOps with Morpheus, our AI-driven Autonomous Security Operations Center (ASOC) platform. Morpheus automates Tier 1–3 analyst work with unmatched precision, processing millions of alerts in real time and empowering security teams to respond faster and smarter. Our mission: to deliver scalable, intelligent, and integrated security operations solutions for the world’s most forward-thinking organizations.

The office is located in beautiful downtown Vancouver next to Burrard Skytrain Station, offering a friendly environment with an energetic, fast-growing and forward-thinking team.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help architect and scale AI-powered product systems across our platform and engineering workflows. This role is best suited for someone with strong engineering depth, strong logical reasoning, and the ability to lead the design of reliable systems that combine software architecture with modern AI capabilities.

You will help shape how D3 builds AI-enabled product experiences, AI-assisted engineering workflows, and reusable implementation patterns that can scale across teams. This role includes strong technical leadership and meaningful influence on architecture, engineering standards, and team direction.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Architect and deliver AI-powered product capabilities that combine LLMs, APIs, services, data systems, workflow logic, and product surfaces into robust customer-facing solutions
  • Lead the design of reusable patterns, technical standards, and implementation approaches for AI-enabled software development across the organization
  • Guide the integration of AI capabilities into production systems with a focus on reliability, maintainability, security, and performance
  • Improve engineering workflows by identifying effective ways to use AI tools to increase development velocity, software quality, and team leverage
  • Partner closely with product and engineering leaders to translate complex goals into sound technical designs and phased delivery plans
  • Drive quality through evaluation, testing, measurement, and operational feedback loops for AI-enabled systems
  • Mentor or lead AI engineers and help raise the technical bar in system design, implementation quality, and engineering judgment
  • Help define the long-term architecture for AI-powered product systems in a cloud-native, integration-heavy environment

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML systems or LLM-powered product development
  • Deep development skills in Python and/or C#, with broad fluency across services, APIs, and modern web applications
  • Experience building or scaling systems that integrate LLMs, AI tooling, or intelligent automation into real product workflows
  • Can whiteboard a system design for a multi-service AI pipeline and clearly explain the trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Sound judgment on where AI adds leverage vs. where deterministic software design should remain the source of control and reliability
  • Track record of improving developer productivity or platform capabilities through better tooling and engineering patterns
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical direction on complex projects
  • Familiarity with modern delivery practices, including testing, CI/CD, observability, and production operations
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort working cross-functionally

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading AI engineering teams or owning technical direction for AI-enabled products
  • Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure
  • Experience with AI evaluations, prompt engineering workflows, or LLM application quality practices
  • Exposure to cybersecurity products, SecOps workflows, or high-trust enterprise environments

Compensation & Benefits

  • We offer highly competitive compensation for this role in the market, along with performance-based bonuses and equity opportunities for exceptional performers.
  • Extended health and dental benefits
  • On-site gym access
  • Commuter expense reimbursement
  • Team events and social activities
  • Free foods and snacks in-office
  • Most importantly:

👉 Real ownership, real impact, and real growth opportunities
