About you

You are a seasoned professional seeking an opportunity to join a Global Finance team, taking on the critical role of Senior Accountant. With a strong grasp of global consolidations and financial reporting, you excel in supporting the Director of Global Finance to achieve strategic goals. Your approach is defined by a positive, proactive attitude, and you are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and compliance with jurisdictional, regulatory, and GAAP requirements across the US, Canada, and internationally.

In this role, you will...

  • Review and consolidate subsidiary data, manage complex consolidations, prepare financial statements, reconcile intercompany accounts, build regional partnerships, assist with projects, and research GAAP requirements.

  • Prepare working papers and financial statements for audits, and serve as the primary liaison with auditors.

  • Ensure financial statements comply with U.S. GAAP and identify process improvements for SOX compliance.

  • Collect and analyze data for new acquisitions, prepare purchase equations, and manage purchase price eliminations globally.

  • Work with the Corporate Taxation team to complete tax filings.

What you'll bring

  • CPA designation or equivalent required.

  • 5+ years of financial accounting and management experience in a sizeable and complex corporation.

  • 2+ years of experience with complex consolidations involving multiple currencies and ownership structures, including senior level review and financial statement preparation.

  • A desire to challenge the status quo and to drive for continuous process improvement.

  • Strong analytical skills. Equally capable of providing strategic input and macro analysis as well as ‘deep diving’ into the financial and operational details.

  • Experience preparing consolidations with COGNOS Controller or OneStreamis an asset.

  • Experience with SOX requirements and external audit co-ordination is an asset.

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $80,000 to $100,000

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
