What is the opportunity?
We are seeking an enthusiastic, engaging and results-driven Senior Account Executive to join our Sales team. You will play a vital role in driving sales and revenue growth as we continue to strengthen our position as a leading provider of digital public health solutions. Your focus will be on selling to organizations in public health, with an emphasis on regional, provincial, territorial and federal governments and agencies. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies and plans for new clients and partners in public health and deliver substantial value as a thought leader and trusted advisor.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including C-level executives, IT leaders, and public health administrators.
- Conduct in-depth discovery calls to understand customer needs, pain points, and workflows, and align them with the company’s digital health solutions.
- Capture prospects' needs and work with the product and development teams to translate those needs into custom solution offerings and/or future software enhancements.
- Collaborate with the Product and Business Development teams to develop competitive positioning for our digital health platform and solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and post-sale account management.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities using CRM software (e.g., HubSpot).
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regularly update leadership on sales progress, challenges, and market opportunities.
- Understand and communicate the competitive landscape and develop strategies to differentiate the company’s solutions.
- Develop opportunity pursuit strategies including key differentiators, win themes, value propositions, and internal and competitive SWOT analyses.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Build and nurture prospects, clients, and partners through social media, networking, attending and participating in events and conferences, and other relevant channels while promoting the company's brand and expanding our footprint within public health.
- Present the company's offerings to potential customers, showcasing the value and benefits they provide.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, government policies, regulations, and initiatives that impact public health, and proactively leverage that knowledge to position the company as a trusted advisor.
- Develop and implement prospecting and lead generation strategies and campaigns targeted at public health.
- Negotiate complex sales contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company objectives.
- Collaborate with implementation and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term client satisfaction.
- Train and mentor junior business development team members on best practices, sales techniques, and industry knowledge.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of successful experience in a combination of sales, business development, and client experience management in public sector health.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated skills in leveraging existing relationships and establishing new relationships.
- Ability to identify and qualify business opportunities prior to engaging internal subject matter experts.
- Experience in the RFP process, including opportunity assessment, qualification, and coordinating successful responses.
- Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams.
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in the health industry.
- Strong presentation and writing skills.
