As a Senior Account Executive – Workday Services at Kainos, you will lead the expansion of Kainos’ Public Sector footprint in Canada, in close alignment with Workday Canada’s Public Sector growth strategy. This role is designed for a senior seller who understands how Workday is prioritized, sold, and implemented across municipalities, provinces, crown agencies, education, and broader public institutions.

Your mandate is to position Kainos as a strategic, trusted Workday Services partner—capable of supporting complex, multistakeholder transformations while meeting the Canadian public sector’s expectations for governance, auditability, value-for-money, and long-term partnership.

You will work collaboratively across Workday Canada account teams, Kainos delivery leadership, and cross-functional internal partners to drive a co-sell, sector-aligned approach that accelerates Workday adoption and customer success.

The position will report directly to the Americas VP of Sales for Workday Services and will also include a dotted line reporting relationship to a senior leader from the Kainos consulting capability (Davis Pier). This will enable collaboration with the Davis Pier team to share public sector knowledge and bring additional consultative capabilities to Workday Services teams.

Core Focus Areas (Aligned to Workday Canada)

Public Sector Workday Leadership
Bring deep knowledge of Workday’s Public Sector use cases—Financial Management, HCM, Payroll, Sourcing, and Planning—and how they address Canadian public sector challenges such as legacy ERP replacement, workforce complexity, compliance, and transparency.

Co-Sell & Partner Alignment with Workday Canada
Operate as a seamless extension of Workday Canada’s Public Sector sales teams. Build strong relationships with Workday Account Executives, RSDs, and Industry leadership to jointly shape pursuits, support pipeline development, and improve win rates in competitive bids.

Municipal, Provincial & Broader Public Sector Growth
Drive net-new pipeline across Canadian municipalities, provinces, crown corporations, education, and agencies—understanding the nuances of each buying model, approval process, and political environment.

Large-Scale ERP Modernization & Transformation
Lead sales efforts around multi-year Workday programs that go beyond implementation—positioning Kainos for change, adoption, optimization, and managed services, in line with Workday’s emphasis on long-term customer success. This includes leveraging other capabilities within Kainos to bring multi-disciplinary teams and innovative public sector approaches.

Key Responsibilities

Public Sector Strategy & Market Development
Help shape Kainos’ Workday Public Sector GTM in Canada, aligned to Workday’s industry focus areas. Contribute insight into sector trends, upcoming procurements, and emerging opportunities.

Pipeline Creation & Deal Leadership
Identify, qualify, and progress opportunities through complex procurement cycles (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, vendor-of-record programs). Lead end-to-end sales strategy, from early shaping to contract close.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement
Engage credibly with Deputy Ministers, CAOs, CFOs, CHROs, CIOs, and Procurement leaders—balancing institutional priorities (risk, compliance, audit) with transformation outcomes.

Competitive Positioning
Clearly differentiate Kainos against global SIs and regional competitors by emphasizing delivery quality, Workday specialization, public sector credentials, and long-term partnership.

Consultative Approach
Lead the development of a sales and delivery approach tailored to the public sector which brings a consultative approach and differentiates Kainos’ Workday delivery through the addition of value-add capabilities such as advanced analytics, change management, business transformation and behavioral science.

Internal Collaboration & Bid Excellence
Work closely with delivery, legal, marketing, and operations to produce compliant, high-quality proposals that reflect Workday-aligned messaging, governance rigor, and value realization.
